  1. It makes me angry that people with this much money don’t have an ounce of common sense. They don’t deserve a nice boat like that if they can’t maintain and operate it properly.

  2. LOL – Wow OMG yeah that looks soooooooo dangerous! Ha ha so sad they could have sat on a lawn chair waiting for "rescuers". What are they in 5 feet of water?

  3. You’d think a huge expensive private vessel like that would have a pretty much foolproof securing where some random mistake door left open etc couldn’t sink it without fail safes alarms etc unless there is just a standard checklist and someone just completely f-d up. If it grounded and tore open that seems more likely. But the class warfare comments please. It’s the corrupt politicians who are to blame for wealth inequality not these poor people. Granted some ultra rich are a huge part of the problem with bribes essentially but it still takes the corrupt politician to take the money rather then reform the election process so that mega money isn’t possible or necessary.

  4. There is some really, really stupid people in these comments.
Insurance scam; you don't do a boat insurance scam by sinking a boat in 10 feet of water or anywhere on the bay being it is shallow in most places and everyone knows the boat will have to be raised to clear it from ship traffic and environmental concerns. So state investigators and insurance investigators will have the boat out of the water and know what caused the sinking. Its not like they took it out in 3000 feet of water and then sunk it with no evidence of how it occurred. So if it was an insurance scam it's a pretty stupid one being insurance is not going to pay for the salvage and replacement of the boat and all its contents along with all the lost revenue at 125 grand a week.
Rich people and rich people problems; It was a charter company. They didn't buy the boat with tax breaks and I'm sure they paid big bucks to the state and Fed in taxes along with the insane docking fees in Annapolis. It was a business that is now gone in MD along with the crew that no longer has jobs. In other words Maryland just lost a huge taxpayer.
Ran aground: Most of the Bay is shallow besides the shipping channels and most of it is mud bottom. Even an inboard would have had time getting enough damaged to sink it if it ran aground. Put money on it was the stuffing box or a through hull that broke flooding the boat.
