  1. What a shame. I own a Dufour 44P from 2008. A real sailboat. I would have loved to see an improved version when they decided to keep the same name. What a shame. This modern floating caravan has nothing to do with sailing.

  2. FFS. Why don't these manufacturers just skip to the end point and mould the entire hull in Lexan? because it's soooooo much more important to let light in than keep water out.

  3. Huge windows on fenders level might be a bit risky in tight marinas. I saw one being commissioned in Sibenik few weeks ago. Awesome design! Great for mediterranean family caravaning in my opinion.

  4. The bimbo, marketing spaghetti eaters at it again. What a tragedy for what was once the quality boat in the pop-out range. It is a pity Tobes is just part of a sales process.

  5. That interior is a hot mess. They need to go back to the drawing board on that. Did anyone else notice the two cubbies in the aft room that are perfect for banging your head or foot on a sharp edge

  6. Crazy. Just get a 42 foot cat with vastly more stability, front trampoline, and easy dinghy lift between the hulls. With separate hulls, couples also have more privacy.

  7. Wow such backward move in design by Dufour after being so progressive for the past few years. The galley is next to useless with little counter space next to the sink and not much more at the hob. And as for the life raft recess in the transom – just how practical is this? If you have the misfortune to have to abandon ship the sea state is likely to be severe. The fold down transom will be bucking up and down as the boat pitches and you are expected to extract the life raft and deploy it….I think not. Perhaps if the door was on hydraulic rams that kept it down it may be achievable.

  8. I just don't like the interior layout. You got all that volume and most of it is wasted due to poor utilization. What am I going to do with all that saloon space?

  9. I wonder how those interiors will look like after 30/40 years of sailing compare to some wood interiors we still have from some old sailboats…

  10. Needs to be trailerable to work in the North American market but yes these hull designs despite being 50 years on now are just now starting to take over the US Boating market which hasn't built out an innovative hull going on 100 Years now #thistle_sailboat #laser_sailboat not even Nordhavn actually although a great vessel that one😊
