  1. Means of escape design and criteria is approverà by Lloyds Register. Put the blame fo LR but before be shure to demonstrate that means of escape design was not in compliance with their Rules

  2. Wow. Way to turn the tables. Come out swinging. Reality cannot be true? A builder suing sailors for sinking their boat and. Revealing the lie that it is unsinkable.

  3. that could well backfire! if there was evidence in court there is a good possibility the company would be toast. It increasingly looks like a design flaw.

  4. Do not order or buy any yachts from Italian Sea Group! Usually it is the buyers suing the sellers. But this case, the seller is suing the buyers. Do you want to buy something and get sued?

  5. It was murder, smarter that 90% of the whole world, and billionaires dont just randomly die like this. But unless you people film it, tou wont believe it

  6. The Company probably knows it was going to the bottom on this and the 222 Million was a first thought idea to break even. Sounds like the same thought process with PayPal in assessing fines of $2,500 to customers who spoke out on social media that didn’t line up with the owners opinions and when news broke out about it, then said that no one was authorized to release that statement as it was not the intent of PayPal to go forward with this!

  7. I’m an engineer not a yacht owner, I know very little about them. Why aren’t vessels such as this equipped with systems that automatically close vents in case of a pronounced list? Seems like it would be simple to implement using current technology.

  8. If I was rich and famous, I'd be extremely dubious about buying a yacht from these clowns. They sue you when it sinks? Shouldn't it be the other way around?

  9. The analogy to Paul Walker and Porsche is misplaced. We dnk what happened. It was an extreme weather event. No vessel is unsinkable. The captain and surviving crew will blame any malfunctioning equipment as they should. When the vessel comes up, more can be examined and determined. It is poor form for boat maker to sue widow. They may be trying to beat HP to any remaining money of Lynch's. But any sensible buyer would put a hold on a multi million euro purchase until the Italians sort out fault.

  10. RECALL is called in automotive. Of course things to point out:
    – exit upper Windows should be in every stage/level of the boat. Hookers or not you have to have a double exit!!!
    – Who decided for anchoring instead of going to port on a storm.
I am in Lorient with 40 knots, weather Forecast is on every source of info.
    – Who decided to throw a party (alcohol of course) during an electrical storm
    – Who owned the boat and went to deck, not getting everybody UP to Deck. I am with strong winds i woke all my family and my brothers friends and went to safe place until sound gets to normal!
    – if the crew saves 90% and the rich dont just live with the problem of bringing rich people to an unsafer enviroment and just pretend my friend, this is not the sea and nature!

  11. There goes any chance that anyone will ever buy one of their vessels. They have damaged their own reputation themselves, far more than the sinking of the Bayesian, regardless of where fault, if any, lies.

  12. I think the yacht builders are pre-empting a huge lawsuit against them by the family group , this matter is far from over. Under whose instructions has lifting of this wreck been stalled.

  13. It simply seems unbelievable that the host of a party on a yacht would not simply say, with a storm hours away, let's get to that dock in sight and ride out the storm there. Or just get hotel rooms for the night, pennies for a billionaire.

  14. Would a McGregor 26 with its water ballast empty and keel retracted have sunk under similar circumstances?
These little boats are cheap enough to sacrifice on in this experiment
I bet the cheap little boat gets beaten to crap but remains floating like a Coke bottle

  15. Has the management of the Italian Sea Group never heard of the Streisand effect? A lawsuit against a relative of a customer is the last thing that the company needs!

  16. The builder is deatly scared of a massive lawsuit which is comming , the builder is playing offense but he who sues last sues best .

  17. Doesn’t seem to be any urgency to actually RAISE the vessel. Is damage to too many reputations likely to occur if vessel is brought to the surface. I understand the total weight of the mast is 28 tons. I imagine the mast when down on the water would never recover .The mast would have pulled the vessel down, with the tip of the mast hitting the seabed first.

  18. In a controversial move, a lawyer acting on behalf of TISG filed a lawsuit seeking damages from the widow of the yacht's owner and its crew, claiming reputational harm. However, TISG quickly disavowed the lawsuit, stating that the lawyer had acted without authorization, and the company fired him as a result. They are now focusing on mitigating the public relations fallout and addressing the tragedy in a more appropriate manner
