Beautifull
J Class: simply the soul of sailing.
Why not include a J class and 12 Metre match style racing in the Americas cup? I would watch. I would love to see full races of these classic boats. Call it Americas Cup Classic.
Bring back the J boats:)
I remember an old J class sailor in an interview muttering about the fact that "real sailing" was over and now they were to do with dingies, these being the 12 metres.
Beautiful. Unfortunately we have now traded grace for speed, and it’s just not the same.
Wow
Never mind the wars, the famines, global heating, species declining 70% in just a few decades – let's just watch the rich play on their beautiful sailing yachts!
Great boats and good for nostalgia. but like everything, technology advances things for the better and we get to the current boats on the edge with smaller crews
That was real sailing, not the crap they have today!!!
so beautiful
J on foils….! Come on, ETNZ, you'll make the rules for the next one…
Best yacht racing ever. Modern boats meh…
I will wont to see a Reliance sail back!
We Kiwis admire Neville Crichton ,
he has a great love of motor sport and real sailing and is a very astute businessman .
Our loss is Aussies gain
Those were the days of true, honest craftsmanship in building and fine sailing.👴🤷♂🥲
Mr. Crichton, please define wealth.
<Owning a stunning J-Class..>
Amazing, which material are the black sails made of?
aging so gracefully..
Is it just me or do they look like beautiful big old bulldozers, pushing so much water around?
The amount of manual handling required to sail these legendary boats was insane, a testament to how racing has evolved over the last 4 decades
Team nz will come up with a replica design for new boat for next America's cup when they win this race.
How come Rainbow has KZ-1 on the Main ?
Isn't KZ the code for New Zealand ??
These boats look immense even by today's standards – I can't imagine how they would have looked in the 1930's! 'Timeless' really is the appropriate word!
The real Americas Cup boats.
Eternal J class – fantastic!
Questa è vela! 😍
My kids listen to music on their phones. But they both begged for turntables too. You can love both – classy, nostalgic beauty AND cutting edge advances. It's all sailing.
The real America Cup racing boats ., real sailing not foiling
… and why do we have too see these monsters of the America‘s Cup? 😂
"Foiling is nothing like sailing."
-America's Cup skipper Nathan Outteridge
The ethos of AC being sailing the latest technology and ideas. Loving the evolution from these beauties to the foilers.
