2. Hi Beth and Chris!! I really love your videos. My husband and I are hopefully cruising again January 5th, on the Seaside. We cruised with MSC in September, and we did the bid to upgrade to the Yacht Club after watching your videos. We were on the Seashore for a 7 night cruise. We booked the next cruise on the ship, and I'm really glad that we did. Now we have this vacation coming up, that's already booked and paid for, we did the bid again and just got the email that it's accepted! We bid for the interior, it was $235 per person! So, we were awarded a deluxe suite, on deck 18! I've explored the ship layout and tour and it's a great location. As the day is approaching, we are beginning to look forward to having a cruise as a getaway in the dead of winter. We are in Michigan.
   Thank you for your videos, I've learned so much, and Chris is hilarious!! You two are a really cute couple. 🤎

3. For two of our cruises, we splurged for balconies……and spent maybe 2 hours max sitting out there the entire trip. What amazes me no end is the lack of plugs next to the bed. Anyone who uses a CPAP machine can relate….

6. If someone is interested in YC interior. BOOK QUICKLY. There are not that many rooms on the ship.

7. I just got back last night from my 4 day cruise to nassau aboard the msc divina in the yacht club. It was my first cruise and it was AMAZING!

   HIGHLY recommend!!

   Also should point out the wrist band is only for the new msc ships, the divina uses the old keycard entry.

8. Enjoyed your video. We just got back from MSC Meravaglia last week and it was the first time in the yacht club for my girlfriend and I. We had a regular balcony cabin booked and we placed a bid in for an interior yacht club cabin and won the bid. To my surprise, they put us in a deluxe balcony suite instead. I guess the interior yacht club cabins were all booked. It was a welcome surprise!

9. This might be a dumb question but can you use a cruise card from another MSC ship to power the lights in the room? Can you take the unused bottles of shampoo and conditioner with you when the cruise is over? Appreciate your videos.

11. We are going on Seascape Yacht Club in October. My Mother in Law will stay in an Interior Cabin. Thank you for your Video. … I'm putting my Insulin in the Fridge and inform the Roomservice in a normal Cabin not to lock the Fridge in the evening before Disembarking. (i saw the Novorapid in your locker 😎)

12. We are once again in the YC in mid January… We booked direct instead of upgrading and we are getting an Accessible cabin due to mobility issues. It is MUCH bigger than a normal YC Interior, but they are even more limited than a normal interior – There are four per MSC YC, so book SUPER early.

    So, given the rather large difference in price from interior, to balcony YC cabin, is it really worth it just for the larger bathroom? I get it, the bathroom is awesome, but for us the price difference from interior to balcony was mind melting. 😆

17. Hi Beth, I'm curious if you track the cost of booking YC vs booking a cabin and then upgrading. Is there a real cost savings, or is it just a perceived savings because of the split payment? If you have this information or can compile it, I think it would be a great video topic. Thanks for sharing your experiences with us.

18. OMG guys. I had a YCIN booked for February and I just looked at my booking and noticed I was upgraded to a deluxe balcony. I had been receiving bid emails- the minimum bid yesterday was $865PP. Today- free! This is my Bday cruise! 🎂

19. I have a question. I just booked the yacht club on the MSC side balcony. Do they give you one bottle of liquor for your cruise? I know it’s not in the minibar but did they give you a bottle of vodka or something like that?

I normally cruise solo, and prefer an interior cabin, not only because of the cost savings, but specifically because it encourages me to get out of the cabin and enjoy the amenities of the ship and try new things. If I were to have a nice, luxurious balcony suite, I may stay in it all by myself and miss out on some great things. Also it’s hard to meet new people and make new friends when you’re in your cabin, lol.

22. Even with that being the cheapest way into the yacht club, does it still come with all the perks that the more expensive rooms receive? Or does it get you less ?

25. Thanks for the video. I book an inside cabin YC in mid-October embarking out of NYC. I plan to try to upgrade through bidding to a balcony. I located a good general bidding tip which makes sense. Bidding one grade above what you originally booked is more likely to happen than upgrading a few grades up. If you think about it, the auction company looks for the most profitable upgrades. The upgrades that are multiple one step upgrades are called "chains" and have the upper hand of winning the bidding. The cruise line can likely make more money upgrading chained bids than one large multiple upgraded bids. For example, you bid $300 for a room that is two upgrades from your current room. Another bidder upgrades at the same grade room as you are bid one upgrade level for $175 and the room grade above upgrades for $175 for the double upgrade room you bid on. The total of the chain of two upgrade is $350 which they would win the bid since its $50 more than your bid. Interesting!

26. I'm booked on the Meraviglia next month. Just received the email to bid for YC interior, I bid. I'm wondering if i win the bid will I get a refund for the premium drink package that I already purchased? Solo cruiser.

27. 2 years ago was first MSC cruise after over 40 with everyone else… bid 450 for interior YC and was given the balcony… greatest cruise ever!!! been on 5 since… every one has been upgraded from cheapest balcony with 7-800 bid… best bargain on the high seas… going end of August on Meraviglia out of NYC… yes… upgraded from cheapest balcony to YC balcony… cost $ 2700 total… if booked original would have been $6500… cheers… hope to see you on a cruise…

28. Thanks. Very informative. We are doing our first MSC cruise out of Galveston, this Dec on Seascape. I booked the last YC inner room they had, which was handicap, not sure how that differs. I status matched to Diamond, looking forward to that. I hope we will be offered an inexpensive upgrade, or as I have read, possibly complimentary, if the handicap room is required. In anticipation of enjoying the YC, we booked a 16 FL to Italy YC balcony next April.
