  1. Ya keep on posting these videos twice lately mate .. I watched this and I've already seen it as well as a few others .. 🙆👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

  2. Makes sense now why the boat is in FL, and charters have been canceled – a 'skeleton' crew. Dean seems like an upstanding guy and I wish him well. I hope the rest of the crew the best, and the injured heal well. Safety First! – not just when guests are on board.

  3. M.Y. Loon was scheduled for an extensive dry dock this month for required maintenance and recertification, as required by law, according to earlier Loon YouTube videos posted during their time in Ft. Lauderdale after the crossing. The accident may have created ill feelings and some crew may have left but there was going to be a skeleton crew as the work was being done in West Palm Beach. As far as Chef Dean referencing the 50 crew in his tweet, there is a crew of 19 who rotate every 3-6 months so that would be 38 of the 50, plus some come and go over the year (finding other positions – 2 of them are on King Benji) so the 50 doesn't really seem like an outrageous amount over a 3-5 year period.

  4. I didn’t realize that I was watching a SuperYacht “Clip,” and thought I had stepped into the Twilight Zone. (Being a creature of habit, watching the channel for many years, I prefer the full videos.)
    Happy New Year.

  5. The owners must be tearing their hair out. Loss of earnings, destroyed equipment unhappy and transient crew, little "super yacht dignity" and social media posts that make seem like this yacht is little more than a permanent Below Decks episode. That captain and management agency needs sacking. I wouldn't charter that yacht, no way.

  6. Sad news for Loon and her crew and Capt Paul. I enjoyed their content and now understand why the channel on You Tube has suddenly stopped. Wishing all the crew a speedy recovery from an injuries they have.

  7. Paul never seemed to be the nicest captain from all the videos that I watched. I never liked how in earlier video's he talked about what tip was left by the guest. One should never talk publically about tips.

  8. Sounds like fodder for a “Below Deck” episode. I guess even YouTube videos aren’t as they seem. I hope the crew of Loon are able to recover and find better employment.

  9. not sure how high a turnover. After all, there are a lot of people who often pour thru as relief, etc. Probably a lot of senior crew are steady with a few doing one or two assignments and moving on. As well as time off for relief. Maybe about 4 – 5 years and that number 50 makes sense.

  10. There are 2 chefs that work for M/Y Loon on a 2 month rotational shift. There are other crew positions, such as the engineers, that do the same thing. Loon typically has 19 crew onboard.

  11. If Loon was sheduled for service and inspection, of course it needs to be on the dock and not on a Cruise. If it is true that this Capt. Paul was driving the Tender, of course he is off duty now, until the investigative Work is done. Will see what comes out the text time about it. All this speculations are no sense at all. And the comments about like „I know one close to Loon in the Business, who told me“…or „ My relative works with Loon, I heard so far this and that..“ all stupid speculations about bubble bla bla bla. Nobody except the management, the Capt., and the absolute inner circle know the truth. Right? 😊
