Thanks!
Great job, Sam, hang in there, your videos are awesome!
Thanks for the video Sam
Sam, after sailing all the way to Barbados, why rush off without some video content?
Hey Sam!
You may be able to get someone to cast a replica part for your spreader mount. It can be done with extremely rudimentary supplies- just some specific sand, a basic forge and scrap metal. Not uncommon for locals to cast their own parts in very remote areas.
You’d likely need to drill 2-3 tiny holes in the broken area then epoxy in some wires and go back up the mast to recreate the missing part with mendable epoxy.
Wow! GGR Captain Mark's old Coconut has some tall stainless steel-topped lifelines these days. I've never seen the like!
Did I miss the crossing? I'll take what I can get from Sam
Always anticipate your uploads
I think a welder could fix that…. Maybe temporarily build it up with epoxy and drill a hole in it?
Have you used the flat strap "rope" since you added it a couple of years ago? I never see it used or mentioned its use.
So good-natured and always smiling:) Thanks Sam!
take care of your skin
Making some extra bold Chex mix here and this was the perfect thing to watch while I measured cereal and butter. Love your journeys, long-time fan!
Well, now that you're in the Caribbean, maybe your partner can bring you a new spreader?
This is what I come here for!

You saw it here first!
The chicken came first, then the eggs.
Thanks Sam, for clearing that up
Always love your 'less is more' video style Sam…but come on, we'd love to see more of that beautiful island !
We were just in st lucia last week and that shot of those colorful boats as you entered Rodney bay brought back memories! Right behind you on the other side was where the segway tour brings people for pictures. Crazy seeing it again on your channel!
You could build it up with the low temp. ally welding rods. Or a good welder could just lay some metal down then get stuck in with a file.
The laptop will work. Dry it out good. Remove the battery then put it in a tub of rice and throw that in an oven on low for a while. If you can find an oven there.
If you're comfortable working with electronics, you can also take it apart, rinse the components with distilled water, dry thoroughly, then try again. Has to be distilled/de-ionized water.
HES ALIIIIVEE!!!!
Was that the island that the film ( water ) starring Michael Caine and other big names, was filmed on. A great movie that was.
Hi Sam fantastic love it hope you are ok is this close to the voige so far 18000 stat miles
That future museum I posted about probably should be followed by "Sam Homes Sailing Club-" at a coastal grade school by you!
You’re great Sam

stay safe sir
Excited to see how you solve that spreader.
Love your videos Sam! I used to watch Delos and SLV religiously, but they became too polished and they don't sail much anymore. Keep them coming dude!
Another Great video Capt! Thanks
Glad you're back Sam we missed you Best sailing channel ever
If only he'd put his teeth away
Argh mast castings in alloy are a pita ! Lovely video, best luck . Stainless fabrication x2 maybe ?

Dude! If I had realized you were in Barbados I would have invited you for lunch or at least a drink. Great stuff Sam. Safe sailing!
If you do consider getting a new spreader base cast, do not even think about using bronze. You will get severe galvanic corrosion. Aluminum and bronze don’t get along AT ALL.
I’m sure he’s gonna fix this spreader! Great channel; keep up the good work
Enjoy
we are glad to have you
Sam, do you talk to your fenders when you are at sea?
I've gotta get down there. Hippie sailing is good
!!!! Love your boat ,what brand is it ?
Do you sail faster or farther
on " Windsday "??
What a life!! This is what I truly wanna do, sail around the world, document everything and yes.
I am not into sailing in fact if I were ever on a sail boat constantly swaying and being tossed around I’d throw up everything including my nuts. But this dudes vids are so cool. Practically captivating.
Hey, not sure if youre heading this way…Im in Grenada… been windy and squally last 2 weeks..but not too bad… hit me up if you're coming this way…

Sam could sail to HI in a sunfish
Give it to a workshop to make plastic steel to this and after cast it with this as copy and after melt this and make new one . But forst welding should be tred .
Hi, you know it by now but the spreader bisects the stay angle….
Its capt' coconut! Nice to get into a marina
Culebra is a must!
That fitting? Looks to me that a hand-carved foam mold packed in a flask of dry sand and about 3 lbs of melted Aluminum would do the trick.
