1. The idea of LAW, is that it’s created and designed to correct unfairness, and injustice. But in the way that humans do everything, it has been corrupted by a certain group of people so that it does exactly the opposite.

   It might have always been this way, because of human nature. But today, due to many factors, this seems to have taken on a whole new character. An EVIL, gaming character. Criminals are openly using the law to somehow protect themselves, using the aid of both other criminals within the system, as well as good people who only want to follow the letter of the law… because that is what is RIGHT.

   It’s a devilish spot for us. We need the rule of law to be sacred and protected at all costs. But now, it seems to be protecting the very people most of us need protection FROM. While at the same time making criminals out of the very disenfranchised people who need the most help and protection.

   I hate to use superyachting as a good example of anything in general society (for obvious reasons), but it’s definitely in evidence here.

3. The legal language @ 5:25 is very common. Attorneys must ensure that every argument against their client is countered. The attorneys must address issues they do not expect to be 'reached' during a case. This is not something I would call the 'OJ' defense. It's almost boiler plate.

8. A judge needs to render decision based on evidence presented.
   If prosecution has argued person owns the boat because person spent time on it, and person shows financial record showing he rented the boat from company X, and the prosecution does not provide evidence linking X to the person, then the person wins.
   If company X is just a management company and was contracted by the real onwer (company Y), and the prosecution fails to show contrafct between X and Y, and link company Y to the person, then just showing receipts that person rented boat from X is enough to show person doesn't own the boat.
   So it all depends on what evidence the prosecution was able to file. As I recall for Amadea, there was accusation of purchasing US parts, but if the ship management firm is not under sanction and the ship management company bought the parts , and there is no link via 3rd company back to sanctioned individual that was filed as evidence in court, then the seizure of ship can be overturned and ship returned to management company.
   Being obvious the person owns the boat does not prove he owns the boat. These people are not amateurs at sheltering assets under various companies to make it impossible to prove they own it.

15. Dilbar is owned by Usmanov's family trust, and the trust's sole beneficiary is one of Usmanov's sisters. In law, he is neither the owner nor the beneficial owner of Dilbar , but of course he is the only person who ever uses it. Assigning ownership and wealth to close family members is standard practice in many countries across the globe.
