Why would Disney Parks have Mary Poppins theming at the Grand Floridian Hotel Resort? What does Mary Poppins have to do with a turn-of-the-20th-century hotel in Florida? Adding more Disney I.P. to the Yacht Club Hotel is not a good idea to me.
I love the vibe there, it was my fave, but post refurb with the new hard floors my last stay was soooo noisy. I heard the neighbors all the time at night, and they were just talking, I hesitate to stay there again. Had that been my first stay, it would definitely be a “never again”, but that I have fond memories, I can’t say that yet.
It’s giving public pool in early September 😭

Please go back and order the cheddar burger under entrees. I would like to know how the avocado pickles are. 😂

It was a one and done for us. Didn’t like the vibe of the entitled people. We will stay slumming it at Old KeyWest.
We stayed at the Disney World Yacht Club hotel for two weeks back in 1990-91 and we absolutely loved it it's in proximity to just about everything you can walk into Epcot you can take the boat Transportation to anywhere you can watch the water parades the walkways are beautiful and lit for midnight strolls. I could go on and on it was a beautiful and memorable trip.
We also stayed at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Resort for a week, what a FUN resort, especially at night, exotic birds flying around the beautiful lobby, little bars on jetties you can walk out on, swing bridges, etc. You should do a review on it. 3 minutes' drive from Walt Disney World,

The Yachtsman Steakhouse looks so good! We will be visiting Disney World this coming week (Dolphin Resort) and if we weren’t indulging in all the Epcot Art Festival foods this is the restaurant I would want to go to!
I’m putting in a petition to add the Swan and Dolphin to the staycation list. Although it’s not officially Disney there are lots of perks without a big price tag. Would definitely stay there again.
I have visited the Yacht Club twice on one vaca. The first thing I noticed was how low the ceilings were. That's to make you feel like you're on a ship. Yacht Club isn't my jam though. Too hoity toity for me. I got the exact sandwich Molly got for lunch and I felt the same way.. I love anywhere that has the housemade chips option instead of fries. 😊
Working in the Hotel industry and as a performer..i visit many hotels..sorry but Yacht Club is overpriced for everything.
My vote is a DVC 1-bedroom villa series!

As soon as we saw the bronze bird MyBlueHusband was already quoting "I'm feeding your eagle. It's starving!" Then Molly started describing the same Parks & Rec scene, and we lost it! 🤣🤣🤣
