Hi Dan & Kika, Have you thought of buying another country citizenship? There's a thing called citizenship by investment which i think could help.
I know Nigerian Youtuber called Tayo Aina who did the same.
I think residency might be the issue in getting a Canadian nationality to Kika, but i was thinking buying one could be a quicker way to sort it.
