I can live on that boat
Whatever bonuses the A9 has, the A8 can be trailered, letting you have the choices of inland or coastal slips and avoiding marina costs or be tethered to one. Providing you have somewhere to store it on the hard, of course.
I have an older Beneteau sailing yacht. Why? Because I could not afford an Oyster or Hallberg. Beneteau sometimes gets a hard time for being mass produced, but you get what you pay for or, more realistically, what you can afford. I have neighbours who have cars that cost more than this, and all they get for their money is bragging rights. It's not my kind of boat, but if I were in the market, I would look seriously at it. Interesting tour.
Yeh, could easily skipper this one. Lovely again from these guys
Like her, she feels comfortable, amd the builders have planed the space. Shea day, weekend boat maybe depending on the number of people on board aweel holiday boat. Interesting I like to see a sea trial of her anddid I miss the nautical miles she can do?. I shall keep an eye on her yo see what she can do.
Thanks Alex
Great tour of a very reasonable boat.
Well reviewed, Alex. One of the limitations of boats like this, 5 quarts squeezed into a gallon container, is limited storage. Stocking up a galley for a week's cruise would be a challenge. Another issue is A-L-L that windage with not much hull in the water. The one in our marina shows struggles to berth with a bit of a blow.
I think that is a lot of boat for the money, spacious enough for 4 people and nicely appointed. Great tour Alex thank you.
Always appreciate your honest reviews; warts and all. Other established YouTubers in your field tend to sing the praises of every vessel they tour……and low behold anyone who comments critically. Keep up the great work sir.
I agree. Quite a lot of boat for the money. Dual engine, two nice size berths. 9'10" can still be trailered quite easily in America. This boat is a solid competitor to the Cutwater C-248C and the Ranger Tugs R25. As well as the new Bayliner T29 Explorer.
Too bad the new US tariffs will push this boats price way up to appx $210k
THANK YOU. Yes, put the bow-thruster controls next to the throttles, it's where they get used, often while standing on the deck and an arm through the door. These days, most trim tabs are auto and the switch can be placed anywhere.
Good video. Thank you. I was surprised to see a 2nd cabin on a 30ft yacht and at 224k loaded, it does provide a lot of value, imho
This is really a honest review of the boat, with sound recommendations on what further improvements can be made to the boat builders and its potential owners. I really appreciate such type of reviews which is way better than some other who sound over-patronising or get carried away with their walk through/review
Alex…Great video. I really like that boat a lot. Just right and in this market, great value
I can see why Alex Smith is the Senior Staff Writer. Excellent showcase of the boat, and delivered with a deft understanding of all the details a prospective buyer would be looking for!
VERY NICE BOAT!!! Big fan of OB power, so many more benefits from having OB's. The head is a bit too small
Great tour.
Wow–you certainly had a bit of contention for access to that model! Glad you were able to get some time with it.
I crossed the Atlantic on one of those.
