There will be no end to the repairs. No thanks. Too much risk for me.
😎👍🇺🇸
2 stroke Detroit powered boats are a no go for me, unless the boat is free.
I might offer but only to refloat as a dock ornament maybe $25,000
That's nice I like that
It looks like it has a lot of potential Which can take a lot of money
It's a dream boat for me still!
That guy trying to float his boat is super under powered and struggling!
That flex looks crazy.
I own a 44 DeFever with stabilizers and it's my second one. Great stout boat at home offshore or the icw. Huge walk in engine room with naturally aspirated engines. The naiad stabilizers open up a lot more blue water boating and help on the icw because of rude boaters waking you!
Those one's on yacht world are full displacement and not the motor yacht version.
Complete and total junk. Needs to be sold in pieces
I’d say it makes sense the hull was out of whack on the side that ran aground.
Not worth taking for free.
Somebody with alot of time and money can get it nice again, but with what looks like saturation of tbe hull, I wouldn't want it near rough seas again.
It’s an odd model. Can’t find the history of a flush deck pilot house that is 50. A 52 and 53 yes, not a 50
The guy you are saying "dude" to at 0:31 is just shifting the boat forward on the trailer, relax. I'm guessing you don't trailer much? He just pulled the boat out of the ramp behind him. Sometimes the boat pulls away from the winch mast vee block. Often due to the ramp angle etc. Nothing to get al flustered about.
🌟 Fun-fact, $1 is about right ✅️
i just checked Coopers site, and it says Pending sale. i bet it sold for under 15k. anyone in here the new owner?
I thought about buying something similar to this and makeing it floatable. Stick it in my pond and turn it into an Airbnb or an apartment for me when I am in the states.
My 80 yo dad said the most expensive thing you can own is a free boat!
Looks like she somehow buckled
The most expensive boats are the ones that are free
That dip on each side is damage from the strap, picking it up out of the water. A water logged boat weigh almost 2x .
Looks like it was very nice. I'm an idiot, but I'd say it'd cost more to restore than it's worth. Smarter folk than me might say something different and I hope they are right. If nothing else, I hope the parts can help someone.
If those are 8v92's, they're not dead, far from it. What normally would kill other, lesser engines simply makes Detroits stronger, arguably one of, if not the most indestructible marine engine ever produced.
You need to wear a bio mask when touring these moldy boats!! It was growing all over the place!!! Health Hazard for sure!!! ✌️🏳️🌈✌️
Nice, but free is even tough!
guy on the ramp is trying to move his boa more forward on the trailer.
Step # 1. Buy one of those bigass rubbermaid trashcans . No ! Step # 1 . Call the bank .
That's a shame. It looked like a nice boat. At a dollar its too expensive IMO.
An auction with a reserve is not an auction it’s a sale
Bid on an auction boat here in the pacific northwest. Was number two but someone else wanted it more than me. I logged off and went about my day. No loss I really did not care.
Then got a phone call from the auction house. They said I was in the running for the second round of bidding. Second round ? Screw you buddy, not playing that game I am out. I hope the initial winning bidder walked away too. Disgusting policies of auction houses.
If they paid me a few thousand to take it i'd still say no, sadly this boat is scrap, some things you just can't save.
A lot of work"…..kinda sounds like any boat to me:)
Make it a house on 10 acres somewhere.
It's nicer than what i'm used to. Do you have anything that is still on the bottom?
How much did it gavel for? My neighbor got a 58' Chris Craft for under a hundred bucks a foot from a marina in Jersey and had it hauled upstate NY to drop in the lake. Took out the DDC power and fuel tanks, uses a 250 OB on a bracket to move it around but it's awesome for a summertime cabin that floats, lol.
It's been updated. Boats didn't have modern appliances back in 1989 so there's been some updates. The old Detroits would Shirley produce propulsion. But that baby needs a lot of work. Somebody was taking care of until it got wrecked and it looks like it was given up on
