Nice little repair job. Good to see some more boat work again. 👍
The summer day sailors miss so much by lingering in the boat yard until the 2 weeks of calm summer we get!
This time of year is normally best to get taken out for a few repairs, when you're a full time live aboard, but I've had the same problem!
I was waiting for that circlip to fly off and disappear between the deck boards. The tension was unbearable.
Hi Terry. I'm sure just about the time you started your circumnavigation that you said you had a buyer for your boat when you returned to Portland. What happened to that plan?
Ahoy
Hi Terry, Unless you happen to have an EU Passport, you could save a week or two on your “90 day limit” by going to the Channel Islands first, rather than Cherbourg. Alderney is the same distance and is an easy drive in and pick up a mooring bouy. If you hop down thro the Channel Islands the French ports of Saint Cast and Saint Quay are both a day sail from Jersey. Saint Cast and Saint Quay also have a simple “check into the EU” system where the Marina do the paperwork for you and you don’t need to visit Customs / Immigration. Both ports are great places to stop (Saint Quay the best of the two) and if you are there before the high season, much cheaper than a UK Marina.
Terry. I would put a new circlip on that looks like it bent and opened up slightly hench why you felt it was loose when it went back on. It looks like it lost its spring.
Hey Terry have u ever watched George the Solent boat butler he’s very good he done a diaphragm replacement recently on his sj32 its the same engine you have he might have a few spare parts if u were caught out for something. It might be worth reaching out.
Just went to replace the impeller on my water pump which is at the end of the block facing away. Miserable access and the replacement turned out to be almost right except in one crucial dimension. Such fun we can have with boats.
Another great lesson for today!🫡
I'm a bit confused here. I would've sworn you had a little one cylinder in your boat , I'd best watch closer as maybe you aren't on your boat.
Please let me know what's going on.
Great vid Terry! Really enjoy your content. Glad I found your channel.
Hi Terry, Been watching You from beginning, very good I love watching Your content. Especially saving boats and sorting them out.I was so worried when You needed towing in. Is there any chance You could do a retro fit Auxiliary out board project for almost zero cost ?.I think that might be very interesting? Keep safe Dougie.
Thanks for the tip. I've just put a pair of circles pliers in my boat tool box/
