Hobb Sound? Why does everyone have trouble reading Hobe Sound? It's pronounced like "robe" except with the "H" sound instead of the "R" sound. It's even spelled in the same manner. Hobe, globe, robe, all are similarly spelled and pronounced.
I lived 8 miles from Hobe Sound for most of my life, and I've always been amazed by how badly butchered a 4 letter word could be.
