12. I am astounded that no one was injured or lost on that Bali sinking. Every one of them where more interested in rescuing a backpack 1st before exiting the vessel. As well a lot of them had no life preservers available let alone wearing one.

15. Looks like the boat was over loaded with too many people just because there are all those seats it doesn’t mean it can carry adults in every seat especially if the people are walking around or rush to one side to look at something.

21. Steels are going to cause further damage to the hull and superstructure and so destroy evidence. Why aren’t they using soft strops as are used in all boatyards to haul yachts out of the water?

25. I lved in East Java for three years and travelled to Bali by ferry many, many times.
    The crossing is only about 5 kiometres.
    I NEVER. . NEVER EVER sat INSIDE the ferry . .
    No matter what the weather was, I ALWAYS sat up on deck and made sure I knew where the nearest lifeboat was.
    If the boat ever started to sink, it would be PANDEMONIUM below decks. People would be panicking, pushing, shoving, climbing over one another etc.
    The chances of being trapped below decks would be very high.
    Up on deck, it's easier to abandon ship when it was safe to do so, without fighting through crowds of people in confoined areas inside the boat.
