Great boat
Nice video
Would be great if a hand wasn’t in all the shots
Great video showcasing the Fleming 60. Thank you Hugo 🙌🏼
Gee! Well presented, Hugo! Thanks. Fascinating! It ticks all the boxes!
Beautiful boat and a great video tour of the boat. Quite comparable to the Nordhavn and Selene trawlers, though you can’t compare them apples to apples since Fleming is a semi displacement and generally a twin engine boat whereas the Nordhavn and Selene are full displacement and generally single engine. The engineering is very impressive and certainly on par with Nordhavn, and a bit above Selene perhaps. To my eye, I prefer the lines of the Selene to either the Nordhavn or Fleming. A comparable Nordhavn 60 would probably run $500k less and a Selene 60 may be 1 million less or so, depending on how it is outfitted, so that could be a factor for sure. Which would be preferable to take from the East Coast to Bermuda to the Azores… I don’t know, but it would be interesting to have someone that has the data regarding past trips across the Atlantic to chime in. All, in my opinion, are top of the line.
Bias opinions, are just that, bias.
I've traveled the world on boats.
Would not even consider a Fleming.
Yes this boat tick my boxes.
3:28 "… however much water comes over the bow" … stays there? You have solid bulwarks all around with the occasional hawsehole well above the deck. I don't see any scuppers.
That table/eating area in the back is not a cockpit.
Also, the range isn't all that great. Say for example that you wanted to do a transatlantic crossing…not gonna happen.
no, not best. having 'sailed' a Fleming, they are over rated.
This is such a great video but thumbs down for two things. 5500 L divided by 35×8 it’s 1250 miles. Nowhere near your 2000 miles. Also, this is not oceangoing yacht and you should know better when putting that in the video heading. Otherwise you have done outstanding work and I have subscribed to your channel.
Just returned from 2200 N miles in Oceania on a 2009 Selene 59. Not a whole lot more luxury on this Fleming. My vote is spend less on the ship and lot's more on fun. Next time will be SV with an owner that isn't so CHEAP.
Ive now seen 3 walk-throughs of the exact same current Fleming 60. I was hoping to find this boat in different configurations but apparently this is the only one there is.
Definitely for the 1 percenters.
We could see if ypu knew how to use the camera properly!!!!!
Low walk around rails … no water tight doors …. No access up top to chain locker … mooring points aren’t recessed …
"The best ocean going craft I've ever seen"….a totally meaningless thing to say. It is meaningless because what do you mean by "ocean going craft"…If you were in 30cm of ocean, a hover craft might be the way forward, if you were exploring the Caribbean a shallow drafted Catamaran might be the best vessel, if you were crossing an ocean a full displacement trawler yacht or single hulled yacht is the way to go, if you want some fun offshore for a day a simple Cat or Laser will suffice. So your catchy headline is meaningless. Plus, the semi displacement hull of the Flemming is most certainly NOT designed for blue water cruising…it is designed for off shore fun in total comfort. Tony Flemming has designed stunning yachts for exploring in total comfort….but trying to engage with people by saying a Flemming is "the best etc" is just click bait, meaningess BS….What the hell are you talking about by calling this an "ocean yacht"…every yacht is an ocean yacht. Any yacht sailed on the ocean is an ocean yacht…regardless of whether you travel 25 metres or 2500nm.
Absolute beauty. I used to build yachts, 100' +, with some extraordinary craftsman. Custom builds. This yacht has the hallmarks of a very well built craft. Thanks for the viewing.
This boat would be number one on my wish list. Nordhavn are excellent but Fleming have the edge in style.
Worth every penny. The only gripe I have is I believe it needs scuppers on the foredeck.
And I thought Grand Banks were gorgeous. This is stunning. Total quality.
So beautiful
I doubt I will ever own one, but I do know Fleming is the finest money can buy.
Do owner operators have engineering degrees?
Great video. One day:)
Does the Fleming come outfitted with a SeaKeeper?
What a wonderful video you made of this beautiful boat. That is one of the best presentations I’ve ever seen.
Incredible boat. i saw my first Fleming in Halifax, Canada a few weeks ago and fell in love with this boat. its on my wish list for sure. Price seems fair for what you get. Thanks for making the video.
I mean the following with the most sincerity and respect. Whenever I see "most seaworthy" "excellent seakeeping" etc, the only ships I see look like this. When I say this, I mean the most boomer oriented, 1970s designed boat that I have ever seen. There are always these small, tiny, cramped "spaces" that I would describe as even insufferable condition for solitary confinement. The cabinet contraptions, always with buttons, always clicking, always knick knacky. The said cabinets are always 6×6", as if you can't possibly fit more than a phone in an enclosed space inside a boat. It makes NO SENSE. And this isn't just me. Whenever I am at a boat show, anyone under the age of 40 also utter the same sentiment under their breath, "who finds this nice? Who is buying this? Why is this even here?" So my question is this. Is this design truly the ONLY design that works for open oceans? Or is it that boomers are the only group of people who are able to afford yachts of this price range, and boomers like that 1970's Hattaras MY styling?
you did not see the FPB yatchs then
$4.4m! forget it
Terrific tour love this boat but would have to buy a second hand as new is too much but still good value for money
The worst engine room
great price amigo, no?
"American brand built in Taiwan …"!! Taiwan brand!
SAVRŠENO❤❤❤
far too expensive
Thank you for one of the best (if not THE) that I have seen. Brilliant in its depth and description but also for the actual price (of this one) !! I know the price does decide the actual price of each motor yacht but this will give you a good "ball-park" figure of what to expect from the excellent build of this yacht. You can certainly see the difference between a semi custom built world cruiser and a converted say trawler for the purpose ? every little "nook-and-cranny" taken up by thoughtfully worked out useful space.
A most excellent video and lovely narration, cheers from The Grand Duchy of Cornwall (SW UK) 👍✔
