My wife and i just book the msc seaside yacht club for 2026 we did 5 cruises with carnival but we wanted to change it up a lil bit
We have done 1 ncl cruise as a couple, 1 ncl as a family of 5 and 1 msc as a couple!!!!! Each cruise has felt different with pros and cons!!!
We are doing a family of 5 cruise on msc grandiosa, first time as aurea experience!! We are excited about the thermal spa while kids hang out in kids area! Looking forward to havign our first upgrade type experience
Hello,
Very nice comparison.
My wife and I are booked on our first MSC cruise on World America for there October 25th 2025 7 night Eastern Caribbean sailing.
We decided to book our first ship within a ship concept in Yacht Club in a deluxe balcony suite on deck 21 port side of the ship.
We normally do not sail MEGA ships but the itinerary, time frame, price and Yacht club reviews sold us to give it a try.
We wanted a peaceful trip with tranquility when the crowds get to be to much with a ship of 6,700 passengers.
We feel we get the best of both worlds with being able to explore this massive ship but have the exclusively of yacht club with less crowds and premium service and upscale food and amenities.
Also the perks of embarking and disbarking and pretty much everything included was a big selling point.
Our preferred line is Celebrity and we know also MSC caters heavily with families and children not that it's a bad thing but we have no children and normally like cruising with less kids.
We normally cruise Aqua class or Aurea which is close to Celebrity Aqua but on this cruise the only way we would sail WA and with 6,700 guests was in yacht club. Lol.
We also have two more cruises booked
March 2026 on an 11 night Panama Canal and Southern Caribbean ABC Islands cruise on Celebrity Ascent 3,200 passengers in a Aqua Sky Suite and the retreat ship within a ship concept as well on deck 10 port side of the ship.
March 2027 on Explora Journeys MSC's luxury line on Explora III for an 8 night sailing with 922 Passengers in a Cove Residence Suite on deck 8 port side of the ship embarking in Bridgetown Barbados to the deeper southern Caribbean islands and back to Miami. We plan on spending a couple days in Bridgetown Barbados to explore before boarding Explora III extending our vacation to 10 nights.
All three of these cruises are first time experiences as like I said we normally sail in a balcony stateroom with a few spa perks as we are spa people. Lol.
Ounce we experience these different experiences will dictate whether we keep cruising in a suite and a ship within a ship concept or return to what we have known.
It will be interesting is the price paid justify's the cost? Lol.
We are looking forward to all three cruises as we have taken four cruises to date on different lines
Norwegian Windword 1993
Carnival Glory 2003
Norwegian Escape 2017
Celebrity Equinox 2023
I personally like to cruise because i'm a Navy Veteran and have sailed around the world back in the late 80' early 90's on a Aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson CVN-70 and USS Iowa BB-61 battleship.
As for my wife she was hooked ounce we went on our honeymoon even though I had to convince her she would love it. Lol. She wasn't keen on the idea back then being in the middle of a ocean. Lol.
Thanks again for the comparisons.
I appreciate your opinion because I was debating in between both of them. I have choose the Aurea experience for our first MSC cruise coming up in December. I think the Aurea experience have everything we like to do while cruising. A little bit of the quiet area and also the fantastic thermal area in the spa. We love to go to the spa every day and us the thermal area for at least one hour. Thank you for your video and for expressing your opinion regarding this two different experiences. 🙂
This was good. I see now I would prefer Aurea.
What's the best way to figure out which things are included in the price I pay and which ones cost extra? Every cruise line is different and I really get confused about what's included.
