Being a Brit with an aversion to hot climates i'd be doing some Nordic noodling, so i'd extend the living area and maybe enclose part of the sundeck to add a sky lounge. Bigger fuel tanks so its truly transatlantic……..dream on!
Of course you had to open the drawer with the "please do not open drawers" signs! 🤣🤣
It definitely is attractive. Yet, at the price point, all of the "little things" should be addressed. Personally, I'm not a fan of steps to access a galley. I suspect adding the larger engines would also add another half million or more to the price tag, thereby making it the most expensive in it's class. More hp = more fuel consumption BUT, if you can afford this yacht, you can afford the fuel to operate it.
And if it was the best yacht on earth, i would not buy it. In fact, even if it was the only one, i would not buy it. Just because of that disgustin logo they have. Good that it is not the best and neither the only one.
I love the boat, lots on great features. Id like to see an enclosed bridge up top and a nice country kitchen layout forward on the main deck.
I'm going to say …..i'd still prefer a nordhaven I prefer the style of that "little ship" but this is an impressive start none the less. Great video as always Jack.
Drug dealers oligarchs and bankers will love it
Another excellent, detailed review Jack! Thanks for posting it!
Don't laugh, I want the yacht tender. 😅
Arksen 85 my favorite end of story.
I’ve been thinking about Bering but their used boats are not selling. This would have resale value based on the customization. I love it!!
Big windows, top heavy fly bridge. Not a boat I'd take across an ocean.
Good honest review.
I think it was lost on Jack what was staring at him when he opened the drawer in the cabin!
A lovely boat which would be improved out of sight with a top helm station and a door for the crew into the forward crew cabin. I would prefer an enclosed fly bridge layout as I would be a cool weather user rather than a warm weather operator. And lastly, I would like more fuel capacity for longer range.
gostei
brilliant
What does it happen if you encounter very rough ocean seas with an explorer yacht of this size?
Not a fan of nordhaven, consider this more of a bering. but still like the Bering better!
Waiting room is an accurate description.
I"d take the Nordhavn – because it's finished. That was a prototype. As a sales model it is something of a flop. I sold to this market when I worked for Brooks Brothers and Saks Fifth Ave – you are not going to sell this if Jack Haines has to work so hard to sell it. You bring the top line and then admit you can economize in places. You don't sell a $10K suit (1980's $s too) by bringing your cheap flannel and cooing about the top flight super expensive Italian worsted wool you have back home. It completely looks like a work boat that was retrofitted as a yacht.
This seems to complete with the Lynx 27M Crossover which is the same hull . it tender carrying capably is almost the same as well.
👀)..If Jack’s not a fan.R you?😁)
I'd love to see these spaces without having bloody bars everywhere.
Lolll this little peanut of an explorer yacht can do Transatlantic?????!! 😂😂
Yeah nah.
One big wave on its side not only the big window caves in but the boat spins over serveral times.
It may need some fettling, but what an incredible amount of space! Just get Pearl to do the interior….
Love it
Hilarious!!! Just spat out my coffee, opens drawer, first thing you see, SIGN SAYING DO NOT OPEN DRAWERS
This thing was built to a budget that goes like this: “ I have this much money, build me the max
I can get”.
Engine room access down a “Home Depot” ladder. A half empty engine room but the watermaker is undee the crew quarters? That’s a high attention item in the bowels of the bow?
That’s no galley? It’s a waste of money.
A front deckhatch for the crew? Whaat?
Two little piss-willie engines with exhausts I can clean with a pipe-cleaner.
Noise ingress into rear cabin? In 2025?
I’m sure Soundown is still in business.
I jest a little. Maybe this owner orders take out and doesn’t need a large galley.
Compare to Bering and Nordhavn?
Huh!
Thou must be jesting.
All you guys giving an earned critique, might I remind you that a little red heart is out of the question.
It's no Bering.
If only I had a few million more, if only I had one million. 😀 I have always liked the Outer Reef larger yachts more than Norhavn. Not everyone wants to go the the polar regions or tackle the Northwest Passage. Having only one side deck strikes me as just wrong, some how. It is a shame about the access to the crew area, it could be dangerous in any kind of big sea. I always thought that if I had a big win that I would have a bigger motor yacht with a small crew purely to help with maintenance and passage making. Ok, to polish the thing as well. As a family yacht the crew would be more integrated than a typical med superyacht, I can get myself a beer once in a while. Ah, well, back to the little Contessa until my numbers come up.
lol opens drawer that contains signs "do not open drawers"
