Checkers este barca noastră frumoasă și inima canalului nostru. Când am cumpărat-o din Tahiti, am crezut că pânzele ei erau în stare decentă. Dar odată ce am început, a devenit dureros de clar: nu sunt doar obosiți, ci sunt putrezi. Sfâșiat, moale și abia păstrează forma. Am făcut tot ce ne-a stat în putință pentru a-i îngriji, dar nu pot fi salvate. Această strângere de fonduri este despre a oferi lui Checkers pânzele pe care le merită. Am investit deja o sumă uriașă pentru a-i asigura navigabilitatea — echipament, reparații și genul de remedieri practice care se întâmplă doar atunci când locuiești la bord cu normă întreagă. Dar acest pas următor este mai mare decât noi. Am împărtășit povestea completă în videoclipul nostru GoFundMe de pe canalul nostru, The Sailing Brothers.   2. As a 79 0ld codger am i the only one who thinks its truly fantastic they can broadcast such a good picture and sound when sailing from the other side of the world , i remember when normal . TV first came in ,. realy pleased for you how well your appeal has done , well deserved

  4. So happy that you have smashed your target. You guys totally deserve it. So many sailing channels seem to want to portray this perfect life and it comes across a bit like bragging. You guys however are keeping it real.

  5. I know new sails are so expensive. I went to Yacht Exchange Sails. They were so good and the quality of the second hand sail I got was as good as new. Worth a look to see what sails they have or contact them direct and explain your situation

  7. 11.5k made well done everyone I’m sure they can get some sails a new engine and rigging then the boat will be tip top for the second half of the circumnavigation and get it copper coated while out getting engine win win then nothing could go wrong and have peace of mind for the crossings you still have to do..
