At one point you just got to say f*** it that's good enough
Starting to come together. It's been a lot of sanding…
Shes looking good. Were you able to finish the bows before the weather turned?
I have a fever and the only cure is more sanding!
I'd be surprised that no one has suggested "Sandamonium" as a theme. I'm no stranger to boat work but I truly had no idea of the amount of effort that goes into a project like this. I'm in awe of your dedication.
You created a LOT of extra work and frustration. Use 3M adhesive remover to get the tape residue off. Once applied the old adhesive wipes off. Instead of wiping your dye on for a guide coat, just use a can of black (or any contrasting color) spray paint fogged over the area you want to sand. It makes a nice even consistency and only takes seconds to apply.
Truly a sanding extravaganza, keep up the fight.
I've been watching you guys since before this new build! You have been working hard doing some really meticulous tasks! Really looking forward to seeing this boat in the water and sailing! Keep it up!
Jessi is very courageous, congrats Jessi ❤❤❤
Oh glorious standing
SUPER!
So happy to note the progress on the different parts 👏👏👏
Oh glorious sanding
I,m experienced with sanding,,,, when you think your done you are exactly half way done. Old sticky glue residue?? Remove that easily with Zippo lighter fuel.
I realize there is a ton of sanding and less then interesting things for viewers to watch, but weekly sit downs about schedules, timelines, materials needed to complete, materials ordered, would be interesting to know. Even if plans get changed. More of a story then of the process.
8:10 what broom is DONE 😛
I really enjoyed the soundtrack of this episode. Good job!
this is like watching paint dry… painfully slow build.
Very nice job!
It's looking really good you two! ❤😊
Have another channel dedicated to sanding. You two are so persistent and do quality work.
Guys, you did an absolutely awesome job on the helm!!!!
What’s the deal with your sugar scoops? When you’ve had footage of them there appears to be a gap between the upper and lower half of the pieces.
The exterior is looking g
Looking great guys! 🤩
Getting there…
Suggestion you could use those little deisel heaters that you add a gallon every 11 hrs they have the small vent hose for heat it would be 170 bucks in deisel per heater per month use average
💪🥰respect !!
It's the "Sandy and Dusty Show!"
Starting to instal furniture next summer?
WooHoo! It's looking SOOOO GUUUD!
By the time you finish this both of you will be ready for assisted living. Hi Hi 73 KV4WM
I’ve been watching since the boat build started, and have really enjoyed learning from you two. I’m truly impressed with the progress and dedication since this has been a grueling long journey. Thanks for all the videos and I hope you guys keep your spirits up. One day all this hard work will pay off!
Looking great guys!! Do you have a new completion date? The attention to detail is great keep up the good work!!
MJ Sanding, very good Jessica. Every time I see another purple wall my heart aches for you. I did a brief study and went back over this build to see how many times I have seen you sanding. The grand total is 47,382 with a 3% margin of error. Glad to see white walls with the primer on, even if it's not the final step. I hope you guys had fun at the boat show and got to see a bunch of old friends. Did anyone come out to check the build? Stay safe. ❤🙏
You have the best sanding channel on YouTube.😁
My favorite sanding channel. ❤
Any thought to designing and building a “Mini Me” dinghy for your new boat?
Watching you guys sand over the years has made me sure if I ever build something large, I'm just going to hit it with 80 grit and then cover it with vinyl or veneer or paper. Done.
I did mention it at the time but they were far too keen
I love watching your channel and all the effort and work you put in. I have decided you both are crazy because at 65 there is NO WAY I could do this, no matter how much I want to. I think I have a better chance to build an overland expedition vehicle. You have my utmost admiration and respect.
Glad to see you back with an episode. I missed them. 🤩
We learned that building a custom cat has a lot of sanding. Glade you are done.
We're getting there! Might be a lot of work and time, but once you're out in the ocean enjoying yourselves, it'll feel like the blink of an eye.
Legends!
Does using epoxy primer mean that you're not going to use polyester gel coat on those areas?
I can recommend a flexisander. We are across the water from you and working with alexeal and it longboards like the best of them. You can use dura gold mesh sand paper rollers. Vacuum sanding is the bomb.
That tape is a tad tenacious.
