1. Hello Matt, please take a video of a polar bear charging at you, and the brown stuff in your nickers. Ha ha
I doubt you could hit a mountain under stress with the gun, let alone a polar bear. Ha ha
Come on Matt fire back at me with your "tally ho" marksmanship skills. Lol

  2. Sending Love to you both for showing viewers how beautiful the North is! I've never been that far North but still love what I saw!

  3. If you holed Florence (hope not) up there what would be your contingency plan is there any place to haul out and make repairs and is there any fiberglass available to do that sorry just checking if any thought has gone into this

  4. we just bought a neglected 1985 beneteau first 38, it looks similar to Florence… question: how do you place your dock lines? we put ours through the open hole areas of the metal toerail , a storm came with lots of movement in the marina and when we went back the docklines had chafed almost completely through! how do you do your dock lines to the dock? Love the photos what a beautiful place.

  5. Much of the beauty found in remote places is because of non contamination by human endeavor. There is also the reason for very little human contamination as living circumstances is not conducive to easy living and in the colder regions where I have been lucky enough to spend time with very little human influence, it is also not conducive to survival without extra ordinary preparations. It is however a life enriching experience to be able to observe a little of the natural planet in its daily doings and challenges for the life that choose to exist there. Enjoy, you made possible for you that a very small percentage of humans have the time and ability to do.

  6. You and your videos deserve much more subscribership. Your entire adventures and seamanship are top notch. I am a long time cruiser and really appreciate your talents and adventures. And all with an average good boat within a reasonable budget. And great judgement.

  7. Great footage, great commentary, great editing – as usual. You guys really are a class act.
Question – Seeing the drone footage of the edge of the glacier, I couldn’t help but feel a certain sadness that those blocks of ice are about to end their journey down that great river of ice. Any idea how long ago that journey began?

  8. Once again a beautiful video.

When Amy was pushing the chunks of ice away I thought “well that’s fine while they can see the ice, but what will they do when it’s too dark to see?” Then it dawned on me that it isn’t going to get dark!

  9. Totally spectacular, thank you. What a privilege I can follow your journey. Sad my pension doesn't stretch to contribute meaningfully.

  10. Wow, magnificent shots over the glacier. I have done quite some sailing myself in my life, including multi day and night passages and crossing an ocean. And I have followed you guys on your circumnavigation, but these images of this vast uninhabitable place make me feel more "remote" than being in the middle of the Atlantic. How does this place feel to you?

  11. 5:15: "….we are nowhere near the longest day of the year ….we are now in the end of June…".
Don't know when you're idea of when the longest day (northern hemisphere) of the year is…..but for the rest of us is the longest day on 21. June…… That means ….within those few days ….the difference in the solar height is marginally small…… Ny-Ålesund at 78,9 dgr N latitude has 131 days of midnight sun. ….and yes the sun at it's lowest position has a higher angle the further north you go.
When it comes to drone flying: ….well….what you are doing is illegal…. Norway has strict law for drone flying. I quote…Governor of Svalbard: All drone flying on Svalbard is prohibited….
Kongsfjorden….where you were….are a National Park. Hence double illegal drone flying of yours.
Generally is the law that all that intend to fly drones in Norway must register with the authorities….and you must file in advance …where and when you will use the drone.
It seems like you have skipped every rule for this kind of activity.
