2. I like all of these, but in its size range I'd swap out the NP 450, with the Helmsman 46 (I understand yachtlens hasn't done a video on this one yet so its not in the running). They are similar in layout, but I just like the lower stance on the helmsman. The north pacific 590 with skylounge is really the standout for me though the Northwest 55 maybe had my favorite walkthrough vid.

3. I'm not a fan of having matching brand appliances. I managed a store that sold major appliances from just about every brand and none of them had the best of everything. When I bought my house it had GE appliances but I bought an LG fridge and washer/dryer because they were made better than their GE versions. In over 10 years no problems with the LG whereas I had to replace the GE dishwasher, the stove and microwave have problems shortly after their warranties expired and I should replace them rather than working around them every day.

6. Almost all of those boats would be great coastal explorers but definitley not ocean crossers. The Sea Piper is a fun little boat that should only be used near-shore. My pick would be the North Pacific 590 for coastal cruising, it sure checks a lot of boxes for me. What kind of stabilization does it have?

8. Personally I like trawlers with full side decks. Flemings head my list followed by a long line of Dutch steel boats. I really like the Bering 70 as well.

10. Hi. 590 Sky is the one here, But does Nordhavn have no chance among these three?
    I am in the process of evaluating my trawler and all roads have led me to the Nordhavn.
    Any comments on this?

12. All my goodness! All this hype on semi-fancy coastal crusiers. The range on all of these is awful! A 55 with twin 330 hp engines and 1K gal of fuel how sad. At best this pig has a range of 750 miles at idel speed. Best trawlers my ass!

15. Only just heard about this channel. Looks ood. For the EU market vs the US market, a competitor to the Sea Piper 37 would be the Rhea 34. Not many tours of them on Youtube but a British bloke (A Life More Boaty) has one and it is a tiny gem of a boat. Not everyone is doing a Great Loop adventure, the wee Rhea will handle rivers, canals, shores, islands… but also seas. Good for inland, Med, and I could see it being very useful in the Caribbean (might not be worth shipping it over though).

16. There is a no better built and reliable trawler for world travel than the Allseas 92. Built from the ground up as a Yacht it is really a Bering Sea fishing trawler. You can guess from that how reliable it is. Of these four I like the Pacific 450.

18. The Pacific 590 has the best stabilizers out of all of them. It’s the sea keeper, but I would still choose the northwest 55. That’s just my opinion Pacific 590 would be my second choice.

22. Wow. That North Pacific 590 is very very nice. Looks like high quality and is beautiful. If they had a 70 or 80 foot I think it would be perfect for some serious exploring. 59 is nice, but I think in my head I would feel safer if it was bigger to go to crazy north atlantic areas or ocean crossings. But the 59 would be great for tooling around the US and Caribbean

23. I wonder how much the sky lounge raises the vertical center of gravity? That’s a lot of weight at the top. And no mention on any of them what their category rating is.

24. The NP 590 is beautiful, if it were my boat I would raise up the bench seat height on the bridge as with it low like in the example folks won't be able to see past the bridge dash.

28. Love all these incredibly well designed and built trawler yachts. The Northwest 55 definitely got my attention. Those John Deer luggers are a great choice. By the way Martin, it’s Grow “eh” not Grow “ee” pronunciation for the Grohe faucets. Mr. Snyder is the consummate professional and gave a very nice thoughtful and thorough walk through of this gem on the seas.

29. That skylounge on the 59 is a unique idea. I would miss the option to be out in the open air though when weathers nice. Thanks for showing these northwest and North Pacific boats . They were not on my radar 👍⚓️⚓️⚓️
