The important part you are missing from this commentary is that they SHOULDNT have been fully configured with an engine out on THAT particular jet. It cannot be safely landed 'fully configured' with an engine out on THAT jet, which most likely is what caused the crash… He was trying to land it as if it was a much more powerful Jet… There is a lot of info out there about this already.
Pilot Error!! # 1 rule when you lose an engine, fly to cruising elevation, initiate auto Pilot, get on the radio and initiate a landing sequence.
Probably a software problem, like 737, up & down, up & down, and they were unable to dump there fuel, so they landed to early, and the wheels broke off. And god just needed them all right now, i gess.
I think the plane had a chance to land if it had not caught the fence. Once that happened it changed everything.
Damn Bobby I know this is hard but as bad of a job as you did on this podcast ,,, you should have just left it the hell alone!!! Damn , I could barely follow a train of thought!!!! You were mumbling and stuttering and stumbling along so bad I thought you were 🩸 bleeding a few times !!!! They are not with us any more so just spit it out. !!! YOU WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER LEAVING THIS ONE ALONE!!!! DAMN IT MAN ,,, I HAVE BEEN WATCHING YOU SINCE YOU LOADED YOUR FURNITURE AND Laura stepped on the dock in Canada but this one hurt !!!!
why would you do a podcast on this tragedy ……about 50 times you said ''I DONT KNOW" then why say anything?
If anyone wants to know what really happened, listen to Dan Gryder.
The Retired CAPT'N son was instrumental rated, Type rated unknown….
Age affects coordination and speed of response. Between the ages of 65 and 70 I noticed a distinct difference in my driving. Also I suddenly get very tired and lack of sleep will affect me much more. In an aircraft you may have only seconds to take the right decision and there are many complex variables. How many videos have I seen of older doctors and surgeons making horrific mistakes in their light aircraft. This was a plane that requires two qualified (on type) pilots and there was only one. There is a reason people retire at 65 and you only understand it when you reach it.
Christina texted her parents and said they were in trouble.
That was public information.
your ranting speech gives no condolence's to the families. just shut your mouth and know when to stop talking.
Sorry my friend, but it is not common at all for a business jet to fly a downwind base, final approach like you would in your Cessna 172. It's pretty obvious that they were at least 16 knots too slow on final based on the data available. Just for a reference if you're three knots off Vref on final approach You will bust your commercial check ride, that's a fact. With the wing loading of this aircraft you can't fly it like a Cessna 172
You should do more podcasts about your flying history and experience
A lot of your “facts” are just wrong……you really shouldn’t make a video about such a tragic event when you’re so misinformed.
The worst part about it was that they were on the way down to spend time with Cleetus and I am sure he will carry that with him for life. RIP to all those involved in this terrible crash and prayers for the families left behind.
Im still confused. I heard he had 2 daughters on board. Emma & Grossu? One from both of his marriages. Ryder.
The C550 airframe has a lil history. Its my understanding 2 pilots are required.
Great job! I liked just the facts with no BS.
My favorite racer, and nicest guy in the world!#16 forever
It's pronounced "CAY", not "KEY". Hard to believe you don't know that if you spent time down there. Besides that, you gave out a lot of inaccurate or incomplete information regarding the final flight. Definitely a tragic event. Do it for Dale, be like Biff.
Old saying..
Opinions are like sphincters..
You obviously are one
Lay off the drugs
And yor are a creeper to contact biffles wife
Mental to hear you say that outloud, as you say you were a friend… describing a friends death moment. My imagination as i have a fear of flying does try to imagine what they would hafe experienced. Hopefully as you say unconsciousness from the hellish environment. The scream, ensuing anxiety for hoping it will be ok, trusting the pilot etc ..and he ,if its not greg the commerical pilot fella, but he what had flaps and gear down (anothrr youtube pilot said this causes u to be lower) and he got it wrong and then no body ,generally would have been through what happened next so, i suppse its pure shock. Processing it, clinging on to mum. Ugh pure nightmarish scenes.
Sad event.
Terrible Loss Bobby. He was one of my favorites
Cargo door popped open, sending stuff into the engine, knocking it out. The co pilot didn’t want to say it because they don’t want to take responsibility for
If you a millionaire why not just fly yo family first class commercial everywhere!?
