  1. Cool trip. Enjoyed this. I live about 30 miles, downriver, in Florence (the Shoals) on the Tennessee River. Never had the opportunity to make a trip like that. Reupholstered many yachts & houseboats for folks here. Will be watching to check out the Tim-Tom & on to the Gulf of America.

  2. Nuclear reactors glow green. You can watch a research reactor while it’s powered up and watch it through the water. That was a long time ago while at NCSU. They probably don’t let you have fun anymore.

  3. As a bama boy, we always said the best thing to come out of Georgia is I-20 West ;-). Good video, really enjoyed seeing those waters again, and learning the lock tips

  4. Goosepond Marina. Just watched a video last week where another youtuber had just bought a 46 foot Jefferson at that marina on the next dock closer to the causeway. Channel is called TouringToMooring if ya want to check it out. Correction, same dock.

  5. Another great video Captain! Absolute amazing teaching video for people heading to the Great Loop….lakes, rivers, barge traffic, locks and dams. And that is just the first episode. Looking forward to the rest of the trip. Thank you again Captain!

  6. “It is Alabama” had me rolling. I’ve fished and boated all over but have fished Alabama waters, fresh and salt and couldn’t agree more. I learn so much from your videos.

  7. So many nice boats on Guntersville, I guess I never realized how many nice yachts there were here. This definitely makes me want to save up and buy one someday so I can float to FL and back. Awesome video.

  8. It's not really a problem. Boston and Foxboro have hosted the World Cup before. They use the rail link all the time between and Pats games and multiple concerts and other events every year. It's not like this is a new thing that has not happened before.

  9. This new owner this boat seems to okay as far as learning this new boat. It's alot to take in but I can tell he's a very smart guy and there's no doubt in my mind by the end of this trip he will be abel to take this boat out being a good captain

  10. Bama boy here, and thank you so much for this video. I've always wanted to travel all the way down the Alabama river to see what it was like. Well I got old and never did it. At least I got to see it through your eyes, and it gives me a kind of satisfaction that I at least got to experience it to a degree. So, thank you for posting this.

  11. coming into the dock @3645 if you had never done this free dock before, at what point do you start to make moves or question the area with water under the boat? If the dock is too shallow for you to dock this large of a yacht at?
