  1. Jason is truly ‘One With the Vessel’ now the way he definitely feels the motion of the ocean in his core and more!! 😂

  2. Jason and Nikki, it must be like a very long suspended Christmas time waiting for your new Catamaran. Frank and Mary, how gracious of you to let Jason and Nikki get a feel for their new cat. Very impressive on so many fronts. Great video guys, can't wait to see your new sail boat in all its glory with you guys at the helm. So, so happy for you two.

  3. Good video and good series. I want a performance cat for exactly these reasons. I think you could split sailors into two categories is those who know about performance cats and want one, and those who don't know about them.
I'm interested in that furling spinnaker. As a kayaker I know never to do anything forceful with your arms up in the air. My right shoulder still has a creak in it from pulling the sock down on asymmetrics just three times. (My to do list includes getting a ratcheting block so I can both deploy and douse by pulling up from the deck.)

  4. THIS IS GREAT EXPERIENCE 😍😁
I KNOW YOU GUYS LOVE TO SAIL…BUT I WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOU ON A THREE HUNDRED FOOTER LARGE MOTOR MEGAYACHT
    THATS POWERED BY DYNAMIC POWER….
( NO GAS NEEDED FOR PROPELLER)
AS USUAL YOU GUYS LOOK AWESOME
THE VIEW IS AWESOME AND I LOVE YOUR ENTHUSIASM FOR CRUISING THE SEA IN A PERFECT HOME😁😁
    🌈🌎🛡️🛡️💎💎❤️

  5. All of those are confusing but we'll worth it for the speed. Looks like a lot of work.
Does ticket to ride have a channel or run a charter ? I looked but no luck.

  6. So unreal how big those waves really are. They look like 2 feet in video and they are 8 ft or bigger I would bet going back in.

  7. Frank & Mary act like a military drill unit. They really work well together. I'm impressed with them and the boat. Now I understand why one should get a performance boat.

  8. With that boat and hybrid you could have put a lot of charge back into the battery banks using regen. I so can not wait to see your boat.

  9. OMG, in 22 minutes these 2 wonderful people can teach, entertain, and explore. We love their energy, smiles, enthusiasm, and curiousity.
Jason does not give himself enough credit. He is an excellent sailor at the helm, on the foredeck, or trimming a sail. No need to ask Jason for help; he is the first on a line, closing a sail bag or even jumping overboard to save the headsets.😊
The headset many asked about. It turns on, connects wirelessly but transmits only static, so essentially one headset needs replacement. That’s life on the salty ocean; back to our hand signals.
Thanks for tuning into this adventure on Ticket to Ride and for your comments.

  10. We enjoy watching your videos and appreciate how excited you are about your new boat… but it’s starting to feel like an HH infomercial….

    Keep making great videos

  11. That's amazing performance in such light winds. Never imagined that as possible. I remember getting our 42 petite Prince out on its maiden voyage from refurbishment on the hard in Trinidad. If you would like any advise or help in and around Trinidad and tobago don't call me. Ah, ha, ha, ha,. Just kidding. So glad you are back in the blue. Let me know if I may be able to help.

  12. I love it. But keep in mind that a high performance boat requires more knowledgeable, more athletic, more seasoned seamanship, sail handling, longer tougher watches and off-watch as short-handed crew. These boats need leadership to watch out for them in the blue water conditions ahead. Granted you can shift your locations more tactically toward favorable conditions. But those abilities can also enable you to sail into variables as they develop. Going fast is amazing, game changing really. But the higher the boat performance, the more it is optimized/automated for short-handed crew the more vulnerabilities in the passage. You guys are smart and tough. Keep talking to seasoned sailors who have made passages and observe their self-awareness of themselves and the boats that brought them home. Peace.

  13. I like the explanation why Sailing LaVagabond channel said they are switching to a fast Trimaran. Safety. It sounds weird, but being out at sea is dangerous, especially when bad weather gets involved. Being able to get from A to B faster means you can spend more time safe in harbor. Or get out of the way from a storm you want nothing to do with.

  14. Next time the head set goes flying, simply get some rice and let the water get soaked up by the rice, I had a whole cup of coffee head for the computer once, and the rice helped. Thanks for sharing your adventures, can't wait to see you on your new catamaran.

  15. Jason and Nikki, do you still feel overwhelmed by the 55? The Graces seem very comfortable with the size. They are also primarily just the two of them.

Having push button winches, traveler and dagger boards are the decision maker. I did not mention cost which is the other 900 lb gorilla in the room.

  16. Good video thank you. Most people assume that you you can't make headway upwind with a Cat because that is what they see on most cruising videos.
A dagger board and a decent sail plan makes all the difference.
Your reasons for upgrading are very sound ones, you are gonna love the new boat.. 🙂

  17. That is such a nice boat. ❤❤❤ I really like how they work well together. The headset and hand signals is great. Oh those headsets are like $350, right?

  18. With Frank and Mary Grace, team work is what is one thing you have captured with the cameras, when it is just the two of you, one has the camera, and I am sure there is still team work but the camera is focused of the story you are telling.
