1. Nice one. Would have been nice for me (just getting into sailing) if you would have talked us through how you got out of the slip. The video was cut just at the moment you started to move out.

3. Neat to see my old playground going back to the sixties, from my teen years, be it that back then it was strictly swimming in the summer months and watching the Ketelbrug being built by 1970.
   Not much recreational boating back then, compare to today.
   From 4m below sea level Emmeloord in 1975 to 1100m above sea level in landlocked Calgary Alberta Canada, I finally got my first "tub" in 1985 and in 2006 had the good fortune to sail on an old early 1900 flat bottom freighter, modified back to a sailing ship, helming her from Urk to Enkhuizen and back with my 11 siblings and their partners.
   Conny Van Rietschoten sailed the same waters in his younger years (Zwartewater).
   Connie was the winner of the 1977 Whitbread Race (later the Volvo race) around the world on
   The Flyer, a S&S designed 68' Ketch, build by Royal Huisman Yachts just to the east in Vollenhoven.
   Obviously seeing these images brings back memories and I am so happy that I had the opportunity in 2006 to sail the playgrounds of my teen years.
   Since my early semi retirement in 2007 sailing & racing has been and still is a big part of my life, both a bit on the west coast of British Columbia & Washington state, but mainly on Okanagan lake BC, Canada on Quintessence a Dehler 29.
   Keep the videos from these waters and area coming and I will view them with hopefully the same interest as all the other "U"tubers covering sailing adventure from my old playground around het Ijsselmeer.
