Petrecem ceva timp în Insulele Zânelor înainte de a alerga la Oban pentru a ne adăposti de o furtună prognozată, dar asta înseamnă să ne confruntăm cu Sunetul Luing și curenții săi ciudați. Nice vid. Q: how dangerous to yachts are those whirlpools? You always seem to be near such strange water features. We only have the Tasman sea to worry about here.
Glad to see you are still enjoying your Hebridean adventures. I got back down to Plymouth at the beginning of June having done most of it single handed – apart from a stowaway pigeon in the Bristol channel. I left Plymouth mid July and I'm now in Lisbon. Hoping to get to the Canary Islands by the beginning of November
Need to bling up your anchor switch with retro tape.
Nice scenes at the beginning, good photos.
For the full sensory experience in this episode keep an old pair of socks handy. Love your work.
The water around there boils and spins quite an amazing place. Love it.
U two looked the comfortablst I've ever seen, relaxing in the pit at the end, "well it just has to be said" hey Gaynor. 🌈🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thank you Megastars. I enjoy vblogs so much.
Thank you for another relaxing episode. I wholeheartedly agree with you; maintaining a suitable coffee store is essential. However, when you are running low critical resupply takes priority over all, well, almost, other plans. Cheers.
Ha Ha, Im well used to moving from berth to berth now. I also never believe the weather forcasts, even on the day they seem wrong.
A black switch, on a black housing, mounted to a black surface in a black hole. Why does that sound like something we've all come up against?
The neighbour's six year old daughter has the finest fix for this. Glow-In-The-Dark Neon finger nail varnish!
A fun video, beginning with absolute beauty and tranquility, moving towards a good motoring for COFFEE!!
Enjoy the weekend!
Very knowledgeable, informative and honest. A good watch. Thank you.
You have Bacon! Sail Safe Guys, Ant & Cid.
There are some priorities in life. Wine is on the top of the pyramid. Was necessary in the bible even, so, boat without it is not complete. Aleks philosophy
Love the photography very atmospheric. Excellent
Wow great video of my local area! Looks like you had a lovely voyage 😊
For anyone looking for supplies while sailing in the area Balvicar stores is only a short 5mins max walk from the beach in Balvicar bay on Seil. Just a few minutes sail further north from the sound of Luing.
It is an excellent well stocked island shop with everything you could need for your voyage much more choices then the majority of other rural shops!
No Coffee !! No Bacon ….. unforgivable
I love Oban and 1 day would love to sail there. We have visited twice from South Wales and stayed in the Royal Hotel just opposite the pontoons. First year I bought my mast, roller furler, genoa, cooker and a trailer for my Kings Cruiser 29. The following year I went up to buy a spare mainsail and Genoa off the same chap. We also popped into the chandler's, I believe half of the shop was the chandler's and the other half a men's clothes shop?
The Fairy Isles do look beautiful, can't believe I missed them when I was up that way. I'm now in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria after an unpleasant crossing from Madeira 🙂
You are in Heaven if near Oban. Would u mind slipping into the Oban distillery & picking up a bottle of “Little Bay” whisky for me? Can’t get the bloody stuff here in Texas!
There's no such thing as paranoia about the weather, especially up there 🙂 Great episode, thank you.
Beautiful area. Thanks for sharing another great sail!
