  1. Sam, if the lines are old & stiff soak them in a bucket with soap & a little bleach. Also add some liquid fabric softener to make them limber. Dan S.

  2. Titusville … A nice place to start … and leave. Boy, this kind of work looks familiar. I lived aboard for 25 years. I wish I had cut off any back transom bar on every boat that I had with one. I usually had an underpowered motor for my sailboats. There was always a good reason. Sailboat owners should be able to sail anywhere they go. I’d leave the hatch board in, if I expected to do any serious sailing. A door may seem nice in a harbor but I need to keep my live aboard space below as dry and well-secured as possible. There will be times you see 45mph winds and stern breezes.

  3. 15:25 The “front corner there” on the main is called a “tack”. Put it in hot water? That’s just nuts. Nobody with sense says that. You have a very adequate boat. Enjoy.

  4. from where I'm sitting, it looks like the sail needs some outhaul. looks like there is a cleat for that near the end of the boom? I'm used to having a winch on the boom for reefing lines and the outhaul. That winch seems to be missing on this boat though!

  5. This is hands down the most satisfying sailing vid I’ve watched in years. Well done Sam on bringing that boat back to life. Keep up the awesome work 👏🏼👏🏼
