What a great character. Good to hear his update. Maybe they can find somewhere in Brittany to exhibit his boat whilst he builds a new one!
Fantastic
Wow!! What a great mind escape for day dream fodder, when stuck in traffic later today!!! Could you add the “patron?” Web site address Thanks
Such an incredible person.
Absolutely love Yann and baluchon. Love to know how he furls around the mast. Does the mast have bearings in its base? Does he only have one line straight to mast to furl?
Thank you for this…. It’s marvellous that Yan is now safe home…salute!🥃🎈🍷🍸🥂🍹🍺
Many thanks for the update!
good to hear he made it home 👍
glad he made it. talked to him when he was in tahiti, and a few other times. knows what he is doing, for sure.😎
Yan, your are amazing! Bravo sir !!!
I could type a lot, but Chapeau!
I really admire this bloke but a little boat like that – forget it. Congratulations to him. Great video thank you
Amazing story of courage and determination, happy to hear he made home to France. Can't wait to see his mega yacht project……
Amezing.c est incroyable se que jan fait cette homme est exceptionnel
Yann is a legend!
I hope Yann spends some time to become a more proficient you-tuber. He could have had the most legendary following on his channel for the last 3 years and not needed to work for the next year!!!!
All the best to him on his next adventure on the 'BIG' 5m yacht.
the fish were not sympathetic (very unfriendly) The boat was stronger than the Captain. Haha. 3 years at sea you have to keep a sense of humour…
Hay que ser muy valiente, o muy loco, para hacer la singladura que hizo el Sr, Yan Quenet, salu" viejo lobo de mar,,!!!
Nothing says self confidence quite like designing and constructing one's own sailboat, and then sailing it around the world!
The benefits of microcruisers like this are many, and they have proven themselves over the decades as owner/constructors designed and built themselves their own sailboat.
Almost none were professional boat builders or had any previous experience of boat building, this makes their achievements even more admirable!
Some ignorant people make derogatory remarks about these vessels and their owners, but I suspect that there's much jealousy involved, as the microcruiser Captains have singlehandedly sailed tens of thousands of miles or kilometres, or have circumnavigated the globe.
Thank you for setting up this interview, it will be fascinating to see which changes Yann will make in his next build, based on his extensive experience gained in the last three years of sailing around the world.
Yann is hugely inspirational, and people realise that they don't need large, expensive boats to enjoy the pleasure of sailing.
Whilst many may not be able to find or afford a Pacific Seacraft Flicka, a 20' sailboat capable of circumnavigating the globe, they may be able to construct their own microcruiser that is capable of doing the same!
For a Survival or Emergency situation there is a device called Military Speedhooks, these are specifically designed to attract and very quickly and securely hook fish.
The hooks are under spring tension and once sprung, they immediately secure the fish.
These devices are standard in military survival kits, and the more you set, the greater your chances of catching fish.
They may be left unattended.

Thank u for bringing wonderful story to us all.
What a great thing this us.
Yan absolutely embodies the spirit of adventure and human endeavor. A man who wind-surfed around the whole world! Unbelievable!
I've spent months out at sea.. I can tell you the boat would be a shitshow, the fact that the sea bird has difficulty standing is a good tell tale 🙂
Subscribe to his channel but is he going to continue making more videos with his boat? Or did he quit?
Inspiring
This guy is incredible!! In a world where our freedoms are slowly being taken or controlled, this guy is free like a bird. This is what life is all about. I could watch videos of this guy all day long n never get bored. Incroyable Mon Amie!! Incroyable!!
That guy's balls are bigger than his boat. Outstanding sailor!
I love it , I would like more .
Congratulations for you mind . Sée you soon again . Pierrick 👍🙏
