@Ocean Race. 3:4 aspect ratio… why? This is the biggest moment in the race, and while it's nice to have a video, it's disappointing that the text is a little too small, that it's in portrait mode, and that it's in 3:4 aspect ratio. Movie screens and TVs are in landscape orientation for good reason. And it really isn't that hard to turn a phone sideways…

Big split now in fleet even with all the weather information they have 2 yachts get stuck in no wind while the leaders get around the Horn and ahead into strong W or SW winds to send them back north for a few days towards the finish of the leg.

Massive respect to all the brave sailors out there. The Southern Ocean threw everything it had at these crews. Congratulations to Malizia and PRB for making it past the Horn. Looking forward to seeing Biotherm and 11th Hour turn to the north in a couple of hours. Stay Safe folks.

Not over by a long shot, 2k miles to go. Last two boats limping to the cape in light winds. Soon, don't despair. Sail with what you have and what is ahead of you. Testament to gritty endurance.

I did not see a lot of ice build up on the boats in leg 3. Is it just because of the time of year?
A truly amazing feat, these IMOCA boats were designed for one purpose only, to be competitive. There was little concern for creature comforts, which shows explicitly with their various video's. Gear failure, human injury, constant mental stress with results their only concern. Each member of the crew in the fleet should be extremely proud of their ability to inspire both within and to each other under on going duress. Truly AMAZING, rounding the Horn in a time period not matched by humans in the past. Technology, planning, adjustment, physical endurance, 24 hours a day, day in and day out. Our hearts go out to the men and women who love the sport of sailing. May each one come home safe!
