I love how you condense the journey, which allows us to carve out time to watch the full video of your passages. It allows us to imagine what the gaps in filming are like, and I'm sure some of the non-filming time can be rough seas and not-so-pleasant experiences and then at times just the opposite and full of beauty. I hope that engine is coming along. Fair winds.
Welcome to New Zealand, one of the best sailing isles in the world. So, so pleased you made it safely.
Bonjour james
Navigation absolument magnifique… j'adore vos films… s'il vous plaît, faites-nous rêver de la nouvelle-zélande – bon vent captain
Hey James, you inspire me. I'm living on a 32 foot sailboat in southern Mexico. I had a hard 36 hours close-hauled along a lee shore. Kinda scary, its nice to know you and Holly are out there I feel encouraged.
Outstanding Brother!
Epic sail and video! Congratulations on making it to NZ!
Great upload! Like the cookin', sailin' and livin'.
Unlike many other singlehanders/small boat sailor on Youtube, your deck looks like a offshore sailboat should. Organized, no clutter and maintained. Sensible addons, like that hard dodger. Hats off to you.
I can look at at other channels for 30secs and see at least 2 months worth of maintenance crying out to be done. They have passages filled with stupid lack of maintenance fails and endless problems from shit not stowed properly etc.
You can never get it all, but you can minimize stupid problems. Then passages are like yours, minimal gear issues and just concentrating on sailing and the elements. F*&cking great work.
Fantastic. Just fantastic.
Well done James, a pleasure to follow your passages, let us know when you are near Langkawi in Malaysia
I'm glad you show the hardships of the passage in great detail. That's not something you can find on every sailing channel. As a person interested in doing this same thing within the next 5 years it is super helpful to see what it is really all about. Thanks James for another great video!
You are going the wrong way….
Well done you a true adventure. If you can go south if you like uncrowded place go to the top Of the South Island. Durville Island I think is the best place in NZ to take a boat away crowds of the BOI and Auckland.
Great ride!!! Thanks for taking us along. Looking forward to seeing NZ. It's going to be with you as it isn't apt to happen otherwise. BTW, you've inspired me to make bread. As old as I am, I've always said "some day". Didn't know it was that easy. 😉
Congrats on reaching New Zealand! I love your videos and look forward to continue watching you as your trip continues around the world!
Keep heading in the direction you are. Fallowing.
Amazing achievement James and a fantastic crossing video!
Good one James.
Awesome 👏
I suggest the bread needs more kneading & rolling .The crust could be improved by how you roll the dough into the tin . Great videos , i watch them all , can not imagine doing this sailing , alone .
Amazing! Congratulations James!
James, being able to watch, your tails of your open voyages, are awe inspiring. At the end when you were reminiscing about Triteia, from the beginning, it brought tears to my eyes, from the joy of being happy for you. Happy sailing James, and look forward to the next video.
I like you, James! Thanks for the ride to NZ.
Balls of steel brother. Good job and safe travels.

HOPE YOU HAVE A GR8 TIME BACK IN THE USA WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS JAMES.
What an amazing passage. I like most of your subscribers feel like were on Triteia with you. I cannot wait for the next episode!!
I hear your sentiments about sailing in the open seas again and i am instantly reminded of John Masefield's "Sea Fever" poem …. one of the first ones i memorized in my Form 1/ Grade 7 English Literature class . Im sure you know it so ill quickly recite the first verse :
I must go down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and the sky,
And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by;
And the wheel’s kick and the wind’s song and the white sail’s shaking,
And a grey mist on the sea’s face, and a grey dawn breaking.
Take care. Happy Sails !⛵️⛵️⚓️
I haven’t watched your channel since you went solo to Hawaii. You’ve had a super evolution. Solo to NZ is no mean feat. Well done dude, amazing work.
How did your Electric power old up with one solar panel and crap weather and no generator? You did well for yourself. Your number one skill was staying positive. Good job shore team. Thank you
Mike
Quite common the Australian warships…looking out for cocaine from Fiji. Fiji and other islands play huge role…you got checked by them?
I am full of stress and i am feeling very angry these last months or so. Have a pretty shitty life forecast for now. Struggling to survive the month with no debts. But watching your videos relaxes me and my brain. I wish one day i could sail the ocean. Even though i have never sailed in my life.
