4:44 a good sailing boat feel to it hahah
Those large open windows really kind of make me nervous. Like how do they handle waves?
Fantastic design!!! Really is superb!!!
740 e? i ll take two! )))
Saw this boat in Barcelona last year, very glad to finally get some information on it 🙂
Nice enough boat but, not really sure if I like the design, Is it possible to get a 1600 with a 1260 design plan?
There are so many things about this cat that I don't like, but thanks for showing it anyway.
a good review but cannot say I am overly impressed by the new 1600. If you had not said it was a Seawind I would have never have guessed. Lots of compromises and lacks so many functional features that really set the old 10 and 12 meter versions apart from the competition. This boat at 16 meters gives the impression it is smaller than the 12 meter.
What an odd design. OK, it is meant for performance, but it appears strange to sail, with winches and cables in complicated places. Cabins equivalent to the ones of a 40 feet cat. Two helm stations aren't needed in a cat. The front deck has no use, and there's not even a mat on the fly…
I cannot think of anything I like about this boat. Just as porsche shouldn't design yachts…mono hull companies shouldn't create multi hulls.
Edit have yet to see Toby do a new gunboat. He always seems to have disliked them though it seems (except for the 55). Jealousy is a hell of a drug, the limeys have.
The boat featured says 1500, not 1600 on its side!!!
what about the propeller protection when grounding is there a skeg or something ? narrow bodies and sharp entries ok for speed but are they not allowing more pitching reducing comfort ? i understood you cannot combine speed and comfort. ? independant seatrials and experience from users will soon reveal more lets hope for a positive evaluation that would be great achievement.
Very unprotected helm stations for a bluewater cat. Ugly nav station that looks like an antique office desk. Why the designer didn't just put a center helm station with a huge glass hatch on the roof of the cockpit to monitor the mainsail and another helm station in place of the ugly nav station for night watches? This boat does not heel upwind.
I know it's not a 'GunBoat" but for god sake …can you be little more cheerful? You suck at narative sounding depressed…why?
Nice episode , but from my point view the rudder setup for this boat is not sufficient
Beautiful yacht 💙
I like it.. Thanks
this boat is my life goal.
2 years on and we know just how good this boat is. Can't wait for the new 1300 series, starting with Ruby Rose 2.
i'll be ordering the 1370 . i'm off to Vietnam shortly.
beautiful beautiful boat but…. they are all starting to look a bit Ikea though- ugh
very similar to the Privilege 585
Nice walkthrough enjoyed it. Did I see a pink colour in there or was that an illusion, we carnt have that ha ha. Thank you , you have me thinking sea wind now.
This is merely an aesthetic criticism but I do not like blond wood cabinetry in a yacht. It looks cheap, like contractor grade, Motel 6 construction. Granted, the wood work is probably finely done, but it still looks cheap, like you paid a $million for the Chevy instead of getting the Cadillac.
Well, there you have it. My dream cat
What a beautiful yacht. Great walkthrough. Made me sub to this channel.
Just right. 😁🖐
Looks like a nice day sailer for warm climates that don't get much rain.
