Thank you!!!!!
Red on the right is wrong, that's how I remember it, and port and left are both 4 letters.
thanks Captain! 🙂
good tutorial, now I need to get a boat… and a sea :p
That helped tremendously!
Thanks a million!
Awesome tutorial!
Such a perfect basic introduction. I was going to create something similar once I learn how to sail my larger boat because I couldn't find a video like this. Thanks for going back and forth from technical terms to, you know "left" side of the boat. 🙂 Looking forward to exploring your channel to see if you have more great content.
Great Video Man! Informative and inspiring, a good level oof detail, and entertaining too. Nice one!
THANK YOU!!!!!!! SCROOGE SCREWED US HUH?? I love your relaxed, funny way of making sailing comprehendable. Thank you!
Thankyouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!!!!!
Wow. Master teacher . This is what i needed haha
Hi. I have difficulties with your channel and with your integrity on Youtube.Four years later you claim you never docked a boat and here you are giving us advise in 2017. None of your projects succeed, your Limonada is about to sink.
Thank you. Your. Video is better than 1 week of sailing training in most RYA schools.
Very nice video, understandable and comprehensive
Brilliant! Thank you
I know that this is super basic but thank you. There are so many little tiny gaps in knowledge and this really helped me fill them.
Left/Port/Red – all the short words go together (Right/Starboard/Green, long words). This is the only thing I knew about sailing before watching this. Thanks for the education.
Great video thanks X
Right back to my book.. HAHA
I’m never gonna learn this
Thank You! keep Vlogging Sharing all your adventures
the best 20 min i spent on the internet today.
The best sailing learning video out there period.
I’ve been enjoying your more current content (2022) for awhile now. Just stumbled on this work of art. (Hysterical 🤣)
Thanks for the cheer !!
You are a great teacher! Thanks a lot to you and to Scrooge! 😆
Thanks maaaan!
Just a small hint to scroogyness: The sheets pull the sheets.
And the stays make the mast stay. The boom booms… Took time since I understood where Schot, Baum, Stag came from… Fair winds!
Well done Huub! and in only 20 minutes
Huub,
I have been reviewing your lesson to make sure I’ve got it. Your suggestion about “ you might as well continue to sail around the world,” sounds good! Lol

Very nicely presented. I just learned everything that I need to know before I buy that 50 foot sail boat that I have been wanting to purchase. 🙂

best intro to sailing vid i have seen.
Once you cut out the Scrooge, it's pretty simple. Well explained and very entertaining👍
What does scrooge have to do with this? Very annoying..
great job , do i have to keep reading these dog gone book"s ? good luck
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
(Jn.1:1-14)
Instructions unclear my boat turned into a helicopter and doesnt like the water
Nice work!
Out of curiosity is this Vuda Marina?
Kwam deze video tegen en heb toch nog wat van je geleerd, over het trimmen van de zeilen, bedankt daarvoor⚓👍😊
Easy way to remember port and starboard, stand at the stern (the back), face the bow (the front). Imagine your mast is a big POST, POrt and STarboard.
After seeing this i just bought an old 1965 nicholson 32 sailing boat and go try it out.
is there any red port left? 🍷
the whole IYT course in 20 minutes
EXELLENT HUUB
Thank you for posting this video. I'd like to see more sailing for beginners. I'm 45 years old, and I want to buy a boat and sail away. You are inspiring to me. You saw what you wanted and you went for it. My only problem is the I live in the mountains of northeast Georgia. I have to learn to sail in a lake. Once I get certified, I'm buying my forever boat and hitting the 7 seas. Thank you again. I look forward to seeing your new videos.
