Simply amazing …so creative and inspiring
You two are hilarious, I was so throughly entertained that it seemed to be over in just a few minutes! I’m so glad you turned around!!!
Good stuff guys.
god dam someone needs to get you guys a water maker , sponsors where you at? 🤣
Wow that would've been a pucker moment going from 30 m to 3.8m, not a place to kiss the bottom
Amazing going from that 20 + knots winds to tranquility waters of Hanover bay
Such a spectacular part of the country
Cheers
Hope you find water
Stevo
Fabulous scenery , it just keeps getting better , thanks.
Loved the swiss army boat hook , i bet the crocs were quaking in their boots at the thought of Crocodile Soph armed with a plastic hook .
Yeah well Plukky from sailing into freedom came unstuck in the Kimberley's…a submerged island ripped the properlers and the bottom out of his catamaran, look it up it's hilarious he kept filming …😅
Hold on Chilli!!!
Stunning, well done.
so what is the sat map system you use? Is it google maps overlaid on navionics? I'm looking to set up something similar on my boat for exactly the type of trip you're doing.
It's a myth that uni is a struggle… You two are having so much fun… The Kimberly's are just breathtaking…
Wow Sailor 👍
I like the catch and release of the fish – mostly.
I see you were using navionics sonar charts when attempting to pass between the islands. These are generated by users and can often miss lumpy bits. Crossing to the official navigation charts there is a very big "Inadequately Surveyed" notice just south of where you are sailing, but i guess you already know that – at least now. At Fremantle Sailing Club a few years ago, the dept of Transport oceanographer gave a lecture. He stated that 90% of the west Australian coast remained unsurveyed. All adds to the appeal as it is truly one of the last 'wild' places to explore. Glad everyone is safe. Shortly after i retired, i volunteered at the Leeuwin Ocean Adventure Foundation. In short time i was the CEO of the Foundation (later chair). My screensaver was Leeuwin hard aground in the Kimberley – see attached report. Reminded me of how bad things can go wrong and how quickly. https://www.atsb.gov.au/publications/investigation_reports/2005/mair/mair217
Just stunning. Loved the Attenborough voice over 😂🤣😂🙏🏽❤️
Thank U 4 sharing the beauty of the Kimberleys with us. Love U kids! Safe travels ❤
Uncharted water adventures continue in the Kimberley. Such a beautiful area. Thanks for the episode.
Hi guys, I have been binging on your vids for the last couple weeks. You two are just great to watch and listen to, keep it up. Love the fact that you are keeping it real, not promoting products every vid, just real life. I am not up to date yet; have a few from 3 years ago to watch still. You have become one of my favorite vlogs and I appreciate you taking the time to put them together and post for us to enjoy! Thank you!! Ed
I need to check o see if my questions were answered in a different place. What an interesting adventure. Back far before starlink folks used to use google sat maps mixed with charts by using a program which first letter started with a P I believe (or was it O? I'll research). . Nandji was one of them . Charts in the south pacific are bad in quite a few places.
The voice frack 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎unwatchable
I always love the aussies and their travels around Australia. You guys are doing well. Slim is a funny man, very funny. Bang! Its the laundry, the door always falls off,,,,lol its Slimese for I gotta fix that sometime soon…Is there a plan for maybe in the future getting a larger boat?
Again, you have nailed it perfectly ! Stunning !
If you ever hear from the “van man” again tell him thanks for me, I’m thoroughly enjoying the adventure his disapproval inspired 😉
Fun episode ! Glad y'all decided to be cautious about the sketchy reef crossing ! Always better to be safe rather than sorry. I was thrilled to see Steph catch some fish – she needs to jump head first into the fishing ! I have been a mad fisherman all my life and once the bug bites ya, it never lets go, lol ! The only adrenaline rush better for me back in the day was surfing, but fishing was always a close 2nd. Safe travels and fair winds (with no shallow reefs) til next time. I always look forward to yall's updates every week.
Wow, that's a bit heckers! Sketchy almost crossing. Footage is epic, great work – loving the adventure 🙂
Epic guys!! Amazing 🤩 I was smiling from ear to ear with that episode. 🎉🎉
That inlet…the beaches, fishing, colour of the water…lovely. Enjoyed that.
Great vids guys. Loved that part of Oz. The Abrolhos Islands look great from the air. Planning on doing the same in the near future. Safe travels.
catching fish. everytime you say "Here's dinner !" you release the fish back into the water. What's the story ? Not all of them appeared too small .
With all the studying and book work you guys are doing you should be ready for the mighty challenge and get your magnet 😆
It would be interesting to see if c-maps give the same soundings as navionics in this area
Those reeds can be scary stuff!! We came acoss an uncharted one. Lucky it wasnt on a night sail!!!
