  1. You have quad 425s and your WOT is only 49mph??? That's VERY disappointing!!! Other than that, I agree that the HCB is a better choice than most of the boats you listed, as none of them make a boat longer than 50'.

  2. I’m surprised that the 42’ Freeman was not the winner . I have seen them make the jump from Islamorada to the Bahamas in some fairly heavy seas . You will probably stay fairly close to Loon so that may not be a concern . All that aside the new boat is a beauty even if it is a monohull !😉

    The Saturday Live, @CaptPaulClarke demonstrated the patience of a saint, waiting to rouse the crew on the Samsara (edit), did you guys get the 'apology beers' btw? Then the reversing was like a masterclass (sorry to gush!). Can't believe you'd put your anchor into the brand new HCB to set it, but I'd love to see that.
    And yesterday's review of the HCB was thorough, as we've come to expect, and what a beast it is. @Blair_vb did a fine job, with Captain Paul, answering all our random questions… It is interesting that Loon can't answer the differing needs of guests in the Caribbean and Mediterranean, with two different boats; boats that most of us can only aspire too, and Loon has 2!
    I hope you have a fantastic show, maybe somebody may now book a charter to Alaska, that would be amazing!

  16. Cap, why do you get a gasoline chase boat rather than diesel so you cant bunker off Loon? And you mentioned that the generator is diesel, so now you have to have 2 fuels to manage.

    As for EV power on where you live. It's not advisable (not being negative)the batteries hate the cold and drain mega with ie, heating, aircon,lights etc.
    Also when you're stuck flat batteries (especially where you live!) The EV vehicles CANNOT BE TOAD WHAT EVER HAPPENS! (WARRANTY IS VOID)
    Getting a flat bed up there in snow? Have a laugh!
    Then there is Alley & Leo or maybe all three in there!
    They're too new and not proven on your torain lifestyle!!👍👌
    Not safe!!
    Stick to the diesel, safe at half the cost!

  24. Does a lot but not very good at any of it. I can’t imagine why you would take anyone fishing/diving on that when you have so many knowledgeable local guides and charter boats.

  26. I love your videos. Incredible team. Commitment, expertise, discipline, hygiene = quality and performance throughout.
    Your new chase boat had a prominent feature focus reminding me of something happening to me a couple of years ago at Black's Beach in Southern California.
    I met one of the most unexpected and unforgiving creatures of maritime. life, also known.as Mr. Manta. I carry his venom in my body since it happened for better, not worse.
    There are many anecdotes. If true, my case was helped. by being naked and not all lubed up in chemistry. Nothing threatening the maritime environment ever dumped from a boat.
    How can I put this now to elevate it from. random myth to relevant? There are still many things we don't know and I will say this as a very level headed and pragmatic German doctor.
    May be common. sense can help. this one. POWER BOAT DEEP. SEA. FISHING. Don't make it a big point.

  27. That boat is insane. The fact that the main battery switches are controlled by an actuated switch instead of manually turning them was a very cool. I liked the tow system as well, very good system to have when towing a very expensive tender.
