💙 Cine suntem? 1. What is the name of Callo's friend? Is he a he or a she? They seem to be inseparable friends
A dog pack of two. Are they both loyal to Yaba or do they like to sneak aboard other ships
    under repair at the yards?

  2. Hi Yaba team, wow how incredible is Yaba coming along hopefully before Christmas and we are back in the water again really love and appreciate you all all the hard work you have done. A lot of people would’ve just put up a torch to her and burnt her after all the rote she had anyway keep up the good work once again appreciate you all Cliff from Logan City, Queensland, Australia 🇦🇺🧑🏾‍🦽

  3. I'm guessing that since that form of ship is intended to have free standing masts, the chain plates won't really be under as much stress as on other craft and don't need to be angled in line with the shrouds. It's more of a 'Belt and Suspenders' type of thing…

  4. FYI: "Shroud tensioners" are called Turnbuckles. It is good to label them when you take them off because they were custom-made to fit around the boat. (Hindsight)
Epoxy inside the wood slots to prevent rot?

  5. I am concerned that the mast stays will not be firmly fixed for the job. In the original design the mast was allowed to flex and bend under load but by adding stays you are taking away the opportunity to do that, so the stays will be taking considerable force. Therefore, the fixings for the chain stays must be very sound and be fixed through the structure of the boat i.e.the ribs. Whilst locating the stays based on an aesthetic consideration, the primary goal should have been to fix them through the nearest rib. It doesn't matter that the mast will probably be strong enough on its own but because the stays have been introduced all the load is shared between the stays and the mast.

  6. Agree with all negative comments on the chain plates. You needed to spend more time in setting the correct angles, and as for going through the hand rail.. have a thought on how much stress and movement there will be on the hand rail🤔

  7. It's time to check with your insurer as to how much you can do with the rigging and what needs to be done or at least signed off by a professional rigger. Should there be a failure due to weather or what ever your insurance company will be looking at a way NOT to pay. Here in Australia many home rigged boats fail to be fully insured.

  9. Hi guys just let you know bending then straightening can cause micro stress fractures (no matter how thick the Stainless is ) in stainless steel. get the chain plates checked for stress fractures they do this by nondestructive testing using a dye. Keep the good work up

  10. I think the multi tool would have been much easier and cleaner in making the cuts for the chain plates. Just saying. 😊 love watching you guys since the beginning. Good job.

  11. I confirm that Ben became too much talkative. He gives too much explanations but often, the images of videos are sufficient to explain clearly what you want to do. Remember the videos of the beginning when he was less confortable in English. Videos are enough with themselves.

  12. Are you crazy? You need a PROFESSIONAL RIGGER to rig your boat.
He needs to calculate the stresses and weight and angles:
YOU trying to do it is a recipe for disaster.
How many mistakes have you made so far because you did not hire an expert, eh?
Making a mistake on your rigging could easily capsize the ship and drown you
    or leave you without any masts or kill someone. Sure, you have corrected your mistakes because you are in drydock;
But once you get on the ocean, you will not have the luxury of correcting any mistakes. You are a naïve fool.

  13. -What if the plates are in the wrong place? What if they are the wrong angle?
What if where you placed the plates there is no structure you can bolt to to withstand the tension?
You haven't even checked to see on the inside of the boat where the bolts will come out. IDIOT.
You need a professional rigger to do all the specs BEFORE you start messing about on your own.

  14. When you realized you had neglected to mark and identify each of the chainplates and record their location and position on the boat upon removal instead of seeking expert advice you straightened the chainplates, further complicating the issue. Stop what you are doing and engage a rigger and work with him to do it properly. What you are doing will weaken the boat and expose you to the laughter of those employed by the marine industry and your fellow sailors. Sorry to be so blunt but someone has to

  15. This tugboat will never"sail!" It's too heavy!
Plus, get rid of that extremely offensive japanese flag that killed hundreds of thousand Chinese and americans!
