Let us know your thoughts about this daily series towards launch! We definitely are having loads of fun and we feel a lot closer to you too!
Your through hull outlet needs to be directed towards the stern as when your under sail and heeled over water will enter under pressure,
You may already have this planned. But I recommend some sacrificial link ingots on the steel. Even sealed salt water will eat the steel.
For safety sake it would be good to install a rope cutter just in front of the prop on the shaft. Poorly marked fishing nets are everywhere and running one over can ruin your day. VERY dangerous to try to cut rope/net away from under the boat when it is pitching everywhere.
We LOVE your daily videos. Really loved your thru hull caulking technique. We’ll be using that method. 😎🥰💕💕💕 (Hydrate hydrate hydrate)
We love these daily episodes before the launch.
👍🏽
If those welders come back tomorrow, have them weld one side of the protective bolts to the plate. Back the all thread from the other side and use locktight on the exposed threads on the allthread and nut. Retighten and you are all good. Also i would have put a sacrafical piece of wood under where the prop spins. Just in case. Keep being awesome team.
Ill be curious to see if u put a zinc on ur new piece of steel
Nearly there guys, you have certainly put a lot of your detractors to shame, keep plugging away.
so close to the finish line
Believe that section of the hull that you have strengthened with steel is called the deadwood.
Ben, when you struggle with heat, just wet your hands in fresh water and put them in the back of your neck. No cold, no cool, just fresh water at your hands. It’s immediately relief with minimal risk.
First plumber and electric work, after this, walls etc.
You are applying ACEyTE. Actúe con entusiasmo y tendrá entusiasmo. 😂
Daily post is good keep going, not long now. Ive been watching from day 1 via the ‘Odd’ guys
Love the daily updates. I feel like it’s creating a lot of anticipation for launch day. So excited for you.
sure and safe views are up to 51000
Where is MP?
You think she’ll float Ben ?
You have a great crew very nice work
All your pain and sweat will be forgotten when you both cruise on Yabba around, surf, dive and laugh 😂
Buy a shark line cutter for prop shaft then you will never have to worry about fouling your prop what your doing is cool but old school now a days we just put a line cutter on it
Pleased as m8s, keep up the good work Eh! Stay vertical!
Gees the welding and metalwork is awesome!
Remember to add your depth sounder transducer and water inlets to cool engine and run generator and A/C!
The over use of the word "super" is super annoying
Living the boat live vicariously through your adventure. Keep having fun.
In home plumbing the trap creates a plug so smelly sewer gas does not stink up your home. A floor drain not used can dry out and then the smells come. No sewer on a boat. I dont think you need traps.
Dear Sailing Yaba couple.
😱 Please take care and don't work yourself to exhaustion. Your health is way more important than any deadline or views. Even young men can earn a stroke or heart attack because of constant overstraining. Especially in such a climate. Thanks a lot for making teaching explaining recording editing uploading and sharing.
Best regards luck and especially health to all involved people and dogs.
Hey Ben & MP! Loving the daily episodes. The speed of each task is amazing! The details are really coming together and each completed job is Super!
Well done on braving the heat and tropical rain. I fully sympathise with you there!!!
See you tomorrow ❤
My god your wearing me out just watching, you must be exhausted!
Really like being a friend who calls in every evening to listen to what happened at the boat yard today. Pretty cool Ben!
Thanks
You're loosing it mate
Is local design . They have been doing it fo how long?At least a hundred years. There reason and lot of experience
Did he say Bruce Lee is the welder?
Hey M.P., tell Ben not to forget to install the nut on the bottom of the rudder shaft before you SPLASH. Love the journey and thanks for letting us ride along. good luck. Jim in central Florida
Pretty sure you could run Yaba up on a Shoal and never worry bout it! Lol
Fantastic so close all your hard work paying off 💪🙏🙏
