  1. The universe >>> Gods delays are not his deniles weather>>> its not were you are,
its were you want to go if you have a hy and want to go, look at the lows that are coming and watch the upper air, mainly Jet stream you should be at least 3 weeks 21 days ahead all the time 21 days is not given it can change when doing weather upper atmasfeir is important and one should not rely on just one model GUT feeling says no well NO do not go wait it out remeber you are not in a hurry and have no plans to be any wear enjoy the journey making plans and having to be somewhere will always go rong /sailing Thomas on u tube have a look his ideology about sailing is specal and he sails a 50 fter by himself

  2. Glad to see you made it! When you were on your way to Marathon and Dry Tortugas, I thought you might come down and join us in Isla Mujeres. We're off back to Rio early April. Have fun in Bahamas!

  3. Your drone cinematography and the honest, candid way in which you speak are both very admirable and inspiring. I saw your original entrance into Bimini and I think it's safe to say that the conditions and timing were much better this time. I can't wait until you reach 100,000 subscribers and I'll be able to say I was around for the start of things! I have been watching sailing YouTubers for a while and I'm currently saving up for a sailboat of my own, thank you for providing even more inspiration while I keep on working towards that dream!

  4. i can hear the self reassurance in your words, we will be fine, your not a seasond old salt yet, its uncharted territory, no viewers can know what your living, especialy out there alone,,i believe your working up the courage to break orbit and really roll the dice, you will learn the full meaning of alone,,,,,

  5. Hi have just watched this episode, like your style. Enjoyed it..May I just make a comment, please slow down your panning as it gets to much..
Also the Bruce. I used a Bruce for 15 years only , the only time it let me down was if there was weed along the bottom. I've changed to a Sarka..

  6. you know michael in 1977 when i bought my morgan 28 i met a retired couple who sailed their boat to the bahamas, they knew what they were doing, one passage returning to florida they found themselves with more adrenilin then ever before, pushing on in swells they discribed higher than telephone poles, each time they reached the crest they saw rows of waves in their path, when they finaly reached safety they dropped anchor and flopped down and slept,

  7. Nice crossing. To have left from Miami and crossed in sailboat and made the N shore of N Bimini is pretty good navigating. Many leave further S from No Name and reaching Bimini channel is a challenge due to Gulf Stream. I see you went almost to the southernmost Bimini red channel marker and didn't cut the corner this time. The bay you were in at north end is one of the calmest anchorages, except for the float plane 3x day, and it's free. Your diesel seems to be working fine, nice repair. The fronts coming across the US every few days was a challenge for getting a weather window- better to motor in calm than trying to sail with SE winds and 4 ft seas. Hope the Berries are on the horizon.

  8. for viewers a danforth has twin blades that dig deep in sand, several feet of heavy chain holds it flat when boat begines dragging it on bottom, the harder the boat pulls the deeper it digs in, tremendous hold power in sand, ive never dragged a danforth once its deep set

  9. every 20 minutes or so i pop up here and take a look around…………sees cargo ship nearby. this is how accidents happen. probably also not monitoring vhf. totally irresponsible.

  10. Windy has several forecast models with ECMWF (Europe) and GFS (NOAA) being accurate, make sure Windy hasn't changed it for you. Other fun things for Windy, make sure the date and time are current when you reload the page to update weather information. It has quirks I've noticed that require a bit more attention, especially since you'll be sailing to windward and getting surprised by waves and wind. Did you pick up Bruce's Guide to passages south?

  11. Capt. Mike – love your channel, love your drone shots….Dude – out on the Gulfstream alone with no lifejacket, no jackline teather and no personal beacon ? WTF ? You're breaking all the rules !!

  12. Awesome video man! Went a lot smoother than your first run into Bimini as I recall🤪 Honestly I think this was the best video I've seen you do. Have fun. Can't wait to see what's next.

  13. Hey man. I’ve seen this so many times on your videos. Since you’re a solo sailor completely completely by yourself why at any point are you not wearing your PFD connected to a jackline when you walk forward?
You must agree that your luck is terrible for bad things to happen if you were to fall overboard with your boat under Sail or under power. That’s game over. Your dead!!!you’re in the middle of nowhere miles from shore and your boat is sailing away from you
Other than the word, than stupid !!!!!

  14. Since you’ve crossed the golf stream four times and I’ve been to Bimini already
Why do you not have a previous chart platter to follow right into this harbor? I don’t understand why you seem to make things more difficult for yourself.
