This is awesome!!
So you building a tri toon pontoon boats. you know you can just buy one and remodel it.
B is for Barge
Good luck on the build!
Working in the industry I can tell you weight distribution is your most important thing. There is computer software you can use to see if you Idea is seaworthy. IMO just looking at this video you may have problems with the motor box and extended swim deck.
One of the first things that any boat builder is going to tell you is you want to have a vast majority of the weight central or slightly to the rear. If you put a hot tub at the front with few thousand pounds of water in it your boator yacht is going to want to do a nose dive and after the first big wave hits the bow, it will want to try and turn into a submarine. If you are going to do a hot tub do not have it at the front.
I think body swapping Mustangs is a better business idea than pontoon boats. Boats are extremely expensive. Your clientele pool is much smaller.
You know whats involved with the body swaps, its a popular car, parts are readily available, more people have 50k to spend than 250k.
U want the kayak project. This build is crazy abd im here for it
Please just get outboards. Much more efficient way to move a boat
stick….to one….build.
This will be a long series! 😂
Hot tube in back not just because of weight but also the front bounces all over the place when moving while the back stays way calmer
Hi Chris. I just as watching your channel and also this guys channel 57 Viny B. I think you guys should check him out. His episode on smart hyabusa part 3 and 5:2 rear suspension, is why I am posting on your feed. Please give a serious look at this guy. I think a colander on possible future projects might be cool to watch on your channels. 57 Vinyl B is your kind of guy or person. I like that your building a B is for boat build. Later guys.
Why wouldn't you use the letter "B" as the pillars for the 2nd lvl?
Got me googling 2 story Aluminium Pontoon Boat 😂
Ali baba 16k
Coming from a guy who used to build boats… Stick to cars LOL this will definitely be entertaining LOL
With more horsepower you can go faster but, it will not be more fuel efficient as a pontoon is a displacement hull. unless your going to combine it with a hydrofoil so it can climb out of the water on plane like the James Bond Disco Valanti your going to be disappointed and spend a lot of money for a hull that will not handle rough blue water. For god sakes make it a Hybrid and give it a foil….. at low speed its a pontoon at high speed its on skis and you content should really take off just like the boat.
Tri-toon
Might as well buy a 100+ foot mega yacht so you can have everything you want
We have pontoon houseboats way bigger at our nearby rez. You’re right, you won’t want to take it to sea, but that’s not what they’re for.
I feel like I am having a fever dream after falling asleep watching Bisforbuild. Lmao
Good luck guys.
I worry about the 2nd deck. As @isaacfortner said, run it by a naval engineer. Pontoons are unstable because they don't have a hull with ballast. Adding the 2nd floor could put it in grave danger of capsizing on a simple turn or even wind. There is a reason pontoons are 1 flat surface. Low center of gravity.
B is for Bontoon
So there should have been a string of episodes called "T is for Trailer". You will have to build a custom trailer to get your custom boat to the water.
Consider adding bow thrusters.
I know what design add-on that would make that thing seaworthy. It will require an electric motor.
Let me know if you're interested.
Remember height/width/length/weight requirements for without a permit transport of that thing.
@b is for build
Structurally and just for ease of maintenance. Consider using 4 22ft pontoons end to end. instead of 2 44ft pontoons. The long pontoons will have stress cracks before too long and with 4 short ones if one starts leaking its not the end of the world.
Damn bro. Maybe just snapshots of the design software. I almost had a seizure and I don't even have epilepsy. 😅
This is an awesome project and I love it! I built a 20 x 10 raft for river floating years ago to house spec with full electricity water slide bar spotlight. So this hits really close and deer to my heart love the build!
I hope it's not too nose heavy with the hot tub.
Houseboat not a yacht.
Rocket kayak!
Consider using a composite floor instead of marine ply.
I would definitely consider buying an R69 lol, that is still one of my favorite builds.
Will you be able to get it out the door ??😃
this is the kind of ridiculous but plausible stuff i like to see!
Put the toilet holding tank under the stairs ??
Your long floats are going to flex due to waves. Especially with a lot of weight on both front and back. Im worried the aluminium is going to fatigue and the project is gonna end on the bottom.
Weightdistribution is going to be crucial this project. You should build it to withstand the roughest weather, since the weather can turn bad real quick when ur out on the water.
Best of luck to ya!
Where do you drive the boat from?
LOL I love it….there is no planing but I get what youre trying to splain. I hope they dont fold due to the length…..May need to run some aluminum trussing on the top.
