This was one of my father’s favorite shows. He got me watching it too!
I loved the show. My mum was the spitting image of Patricia and only 2 years older than her. When she died in 2004 I reached out to Patricia with a letter and photos informing her how I got a lot of comfort watching her in this. Mum loved the show too when she was alive and we had the book. The big difference between Hyacinth and mum was that mum was no snob and although she looked like her, dressed like her, and did her hair like her, the rest of Hyacinth Bucket was NOTHING like mum. Mum would wear gloves and sometimes hats to church on Sundays in the 1970s but that was it. I still get a lot of comfort watching this.
I could never work out how they could come up with Hyacinth's comments. I used to laugh and say, "how do they come up with this stuff"? My friend hated the show. He used to get angry with Hyacinth's antics. There you go two people watching the same show, and totally different reactions.
Her poor husband 😂
Love this show. ♥️♥️
Too cute.
🪣 BUCKET LEAKS A. SIEVE ♥️
Seen every episode! Hilarious!
I miss her and the others. I am so glad I lived this long to have seen them.
Sorry to tell whoever posted this that it is NOT the first episode of Keeping Up Appearances. The wrong Rose is there. Not Millar who was the first Rose before she became ill. Another example of not believing everything you see here.
I love this show
This show will never get old❤️
Just a brilliant show, miss it so much. From the USA.
One of my most favorite shows ever!
I started watching this series when I was a child. I still watch it today at age 60 and it's still my favourite. I still laugh even when I know what's coming. I think it's one of the greatest comedies ever devised.
This scene really had it all, summing up the entire series in just a couple of minutes, which is pretty remarkable. You've got the classic 'Bucket' trope, of course. But you also have the candlelight supper, how she intimidates Elizabeth, how she treats Richard, how she obsesses over 'breeding' and social standing, her sense of self-superiority, how she handles interactions with others like the postman, the reference to her rich sister and her father. So much packed into one scene.
They styled this woman after my mother in law, I am sure of it.
I am so happy I found this ,I have always enjoyed it.She is so funny.
This programme makes me proud to be British. This is Classic Comedy and I am proud of our British actors. She got awarded as a Dame by the Queen…I think she deserves another medal
Please inivte me to your outdoors indoors luxury barbeque with finger buffet.
Jjjijm
Brilliant
I just love Patricia Routledge
One of my favorite shows ❤ They don’t have good shows like this anymore, thankfully I can watch it on YouTube 🤸♀️
omg…the outfit Elizabeth was wearing. Thank goodness they changed her wardrobe as the series developed.
My Dad, who was in his 80s when this show was on, loved it so much that he would answer the phone "the Bouquet residence, the lady of the house speaking" if he saw that it was a family member calling. We all loved the show, and got so many laughs when he would answer the phone that way.
Patricia you are good looking
I have very much enjoyed your sitcom comedy show . In my younger days
What a great show and a great character she played. Outstanding. We still watch

💐🪣🤣
She was so thirsty back then. 😂
I love how she dresses. Always delightful colors. I like that. Reflective, really.
"I received more mail than these nextdoor". It's not a competition to see who can get the most mail. 😄
Hyacinth-"You won't forget to come to our candlelight supper".
I think the poor woman was TRYING to forget, on purpose, because you're such a nightmare neighbour, Hyacinth. 😊
All the characters are spectacular and I think it is that one in a trillion actor, Patricia Routledge, who brings out the best in all of them. She is a gem. ❤
Omg I love this show..😂😂
The first and last time Richard was known to get to the 'phone first.
that was my favorite show when I was in England .
What does one say just brilliant humour with a touch of arrogance….
This cracks me up I love this character
Sehr got😊
Hyacinth wouldn't like the state of the postal service today 🙄 it was funny 🤣 when the postman called Hyacinth by her proper surname bucket which she hates.
This show makes me miss being a kid, me, my mom, and my grandma would watch this show together either while eating dinner, my grandmother reading/knitting, or my mom being on the computer. Reruns always came on at night on PBS and when my grandmother babysat me as a kid we would always watch before bed <3
I love when she tries to move the big dog and it drags her down the road.
It is a funny comedy . I love to hate Hyacinth . The snob
Absolutely love this show
We had a cousin, just like Hyacinth, who lived in Chelmsford, Essex. She even looked like her. One day she appeared on a channel 4 programme, called, Right To Reply, where she challenged Jack Barton, over the demise of her favourite soap, Crossroads.
