  1. Good, I did say the Greek authority's were attempting to locate the guests. Running away is never a good defence or a really good starting point to prove innocence. interesting video 2x 👍

  2. No worries. You did excellent with no computer and necessary equipment. I appreciate you for putting the updates and news out there. These SY’s are a wet dream of mine, I like to look and listen. Over the 2 or so years being subed to your channel, I have learned soo much about maritime and about SY’s I didn't think I would even care to learn. It gives me more appreciation about you and the industry you guys work in. You make this type of subject appealing, so I had to watch and learn more, then. And have been addicted to this since. Awesome video. Thanks for the updates.

  3. Thanks for the update, and don't worry about the technical problems – it's the news that is the most important factor. I'm glad to know that there were pyrotechnics found on the beach – that certainly seems to dispel the alternative conclusion that the fire occurred naturally, which of course, can indeed happen. It sounds a little like they thought they were clever enough to not get caught, and maybe not quite so clever after all. Geoff Rohde

  4. I lived in KZ for 10 years and due to my work, would be quite familiar with people of this ilk – not these individuals personally. Anyone who knows anything about Kazakhstan, Mr. Nazerbayaev or any of his contacts and knows how one gets ‘mega rich’ there after the fall of the USSR will know these people will face absolutely ZERO charges 😂 …..EVER! 😅. ***not, by the way, that they actually sound guilty of anything – I can also tell you there’s no way these people were in the muck setting or launching their own fireworks 😂😂😂😂

  5. Great video as always even when tech isn't working right. I sent you an email about Luminosity being put up for sale. Thought since she was allegedly a Russian asset it can't be sold, but Bluewater Yachting has it listed and concured by SYT.

  6. Blancolirio does a lot of his videos when he’s on a layover outside the country, so I wouldn’t worry about it. It gives an authentic feel to everything anyway.

  7. We really don't care about more equipment and support, this is what I started watching a few years ago until you turned into a BBC production which I personally don't like. The world is fed up with establishment news and that's why I subscribed and as a matter of fact getting fedup with all the fanfare, this channel and that channel anbd this sponsor and that sponsor and it will lead me to unsubscribe soon. This was a good video from real people and raw as we like it.

  8. I don't understand why the yacht was so close to land to entertain the guests, they can do that far from land, so I am calling it not an accident, because the crew and captain knew better.

  9. Why do they want their yachts back anyway, since they are billionaires. They couldn’t go with it anywhere without getting in trouble, other than cruise around Russia. And who would buy such a vessel without totally changing its appearance

  10. The Greek captain if indeed proven that his ship is responsible to start the fire will face the responsibility from that fire, the problem is that greek courts are very very slow and it can take a 3 years before there is a final court ruling.

  11. I watched Graham Norton, as one does, and one of his guests worked as a maid in a London Hotel at one time. She shared some remarkably disgusting behaviors from vacationing guests who seemed to have the attitude that ridiculous is okay when one is ‘on vacation’. Ridiculously funny is great but the things she described were not acceptable in ANY BOOK. What is it, about people, that encourages them to wear their STUPID Hat when they are on vacation? They can push and shove, smoke in their room and balcony , take complete brats with them and refuse to maintain order because they think their children are adorable and every other guest at the venue is equally charmed by screaming filthy brats running up and down the restaurant and touching other guests plates. These 30-40 something’s are still not potty trained, so their children certainly are not. I had children. If they EVER behaved like that in the house, let alone in PUBLIC, they would have sat home with a babysitter for 6 was to 6 mos depending on the infraction. I am strict with my grandkids but they can’t wait for me to pick them up for another summer of fun. Again, they wear their stupid hats. Or maybe they are chronically stupid. A bank manager and I have forgotten the other profession associated with another guest. They both sounded like the work would require some semblance of intelligence. So they chartered a superyacht and set a Greek Island on fire. Some people just aren’t smart enough to have that kind of money. You’ve got to grow a few handfuls of brain cells before you start playing with big toys, boys. They certainly knew how to hire a good assistant to draft a decent response. I know. I am talking like they are guilty and I wasn’t even there. Shame on me.

What kind of authority (if any) does a captain have when Charter guests start dancing with stupid? Can they be reined in? Taken to the closest port and kicked off? “I’m on VaCATion!!!” Stupid. I have called someone stupid 3 times today and judged someone guilty when it’s not my place. But the comment started as a sincere question on what prompts people to behave that way when they (maybe) would not, otherwise?

  12. What do yachts do with their time expired pyros? They are very difficult to get rid of coz nobody wants to look after them. Most yachts use them for training purposes. Some might use them as fire works.

  13. When this first came out I wondered how any person crewing the yatch having any type of pyrotechnics on board. Thats kind of a given seeing as a fire onboard could easily happen. Now a guest, thats more likely.

  14. In cases such as this, the Best Evidence is Physical, such as photographs, video or Forensic Evidence. Independent Witnesses may be credible but have to be treated with scepticism. Those who may well have committed Criminal Acts have very little credibility, unless their statements can be independently corroborated. It must be said that all of those aboard the vessel were from cultures where integrity, ethics and honesty are often lacking, and the Investigating authority may itself be subject to bias and malfeasance. A truly independent professional investigation would be most likely to uncover the truth, but that is very unlikely to be permitted in the pertaining circumstances.

Points of doubt include the allegations that the Yacht's inflatable dinghy was taken ashore, and this would be unlikely to have been allowed without Crew sanction and involvement. The discovery of certain pyrotechnic devices ashore is probably of importance evidentially, although the Investigators apparently only found these seven days after the fire. It has not yet been disclosed what photographic evidence has been collected, if any, and the failure of the Authorities to seize any and all such material is highly suspicious. It is questionable whether the Guests aboard the Yecht were adequately interrogated before being released from Detention. At the moment, it appears probable that both the Crew and the Guests may have behaved recklessly, that both parties are naively attempting to 'shift blame' onto the other, and that the Investigators are being dilatory in resolving the matter. It is not unusual for acts of arson to be committed in order to clear potential development sites of 'protected' vegetation, and this may have been the motivation for setting the fire in this case.

  15. Greece is still not looking good for having made valid arrests. Finding "traces from expended pyrotechnic devices" many days after the event doesn't show that they are related to that event at all without being able to prove no one else was in that area in the intervening time. And, none of anything they said is a basis for arresting or charging the entire crew. At most, a small number of crew may have gone to shore with the guests, but the majority will still have been on the ship manning the bridge, monitoring the engines, in the galley, asleep or off duty in their quarters, etc., etc.

  16. For "a jumbled video" you do an awesome job of unjumbledness.
Again, thankyou for bringing your juicy plump~with~goodies videos to us around the globe.
You really do go above and beyond, so many thankyous. 😇

  17. The Kazakh oligarchs are lying, but they will probably suffer no consequences whatsoever for their arson. The charter captain is screwed.

  18. Try not to make too many excuses, you made a statement about your situation and then kept repeating how inadequate your production was. It doesn't look good to do that over and over again.

  19. Excuse me, but how is the sighting of a person, likely Persefoni's crew, in turnout gear evidence of lying? It's evidence of intent to fight a fire, not of igniting one. Do you accuse all firemen of lying?

  20. We have just released a new video on this, talking about the 'three stories' in this case. The captain's statement, the charter person's statement and the eye-witness statement.

We also talk about how pyrotechnics are used onboard, and disposed of. And how 'shore parties' are organised by yachts for guests.

    Watch it here. https://youtu.be/qs7PN8J1maA

  21. 5:49 "Neither I nor my guests asked the crew of the yacht or any other third parties to take any actions that could lead to a fire" – Abulgazin (group leader). What a legalese way of saying "I can't say, flat-out "No, we did not start the fire" because that would be factually incorrect", so you have to do the Bill Clinton thing of elongating answers, obfuscating truths and leaving open to interpretation what "actions" that "lead to a fire" really means (and this will differ from person to person, i.e. setting off fireworks on a sandy, open beach may not lead to fire in most reasonable peoples minds, but setting off fireworks on a beach right next to scrub and trees would). He's also only saying that the VIP guests didn't ask anyone else (crew etc) to start a fire (or cause a fire to be started). That doesn't mean the VIP's didn't start the fire themselves, without crew help. It's hardly a rebuttal, indeed, it's subtly incriminating.

  22. The Greeks win either way, the people are not guilty and they are well behaved or they are guilty and they won't be back any time soon. If someone is an oligarch you would think they'd have the money for a barge to launch fireworks from so it doesn't set anything on fire. That's what a lot of cities/towns do by the ocean.

  23. Cheers from Tuktoyaktuk, Northwest Territories, Canada.

Your videos are always greatly informative and really interesting to watch.

    Thanks

  24. i honestly wouldve loved to see you try to pronounce all those names, would've made all those "Persefoni" pronunciation comments from last week feel so funny.
That wouldve been an instant classic esysman episode. Just 10 straight minutes of you butchering Kazakh names by the sea.
    Missed opportunity.
