1. Hello Gus! I have enjoyed watching your videos for the past few months and I really think that you are doing a great job. I was wondering if you hire yourself out to private boat owners to Skipper their boats to different areas of Florida? If you do, I would like to talk to you about skippering my 37' boat from Key West up tp a marina in Jupiter, Florida. I'm getting too old to make the trip myself and you definitely seem to know how to handle a boat along the ICW. Please contact me if you are interested. Thank you.

  2. Look gas is all you want to do in life require commitment congratulations for you age this days young people only think is get drunk in to drugs opposite to you I personally admire you im jealous im from Colombia but im pensioner from the British government but enjoy you self I like to you father suport you company is more important in life this really is best videos ever see so keep going is nice to see America on the boat believe me millioners don’t enjoy having a yacht they don’t care they have money is like mr bezzos he own amazon but believe is not happy open his mouth I want yacht bigger than how ever as long is bigger for what reason you is good enough good luck my friend honestly 🙏👍

  3. I'm on the west coast about half way down the Oregon coast. I'm planning a trawler trip to mexico and every place along the way is over $5 per gallon for fuel. You must have made this trip during Trump's presidency 🤣. One piece of advice is not to tow your dingy behind your boat. It isn't a matter of if you will have it tip over, but when. Find a way to get it on deck or hang it out the back.

  4. Being that I have owned boats up to 26ft in the CA Delta I would agree with you on all your figures. Very realistic. Great video's Gus.

  5. How did you get the initial money to pay for the boat? Most people live paycheck to paycheck and can barely pay rent. How can they get a boat?

  6. Love your videos. My late wife and I loved boating when we lived in N. California. We started out with a 1978 28' Chris Craft Catalina. Took about 3 years of off and on refurbishing. We honeymooned on her. Then we bought a 1980 34' full displacement Ka Shing trawler. She had a single Lehman 6 cylinder diesel. Great boat. Finally we bought a 40' Semi displacement trawler. She had twin 210 Cummins. Loved that boat she could turn on a dime with those twins! A few years into that one turned out to be our last when my wife passed with cancer. I'm in Florida now and even though I'm 73 I still miss the boating life. Where the heck did you find this nice boat for $25,000??? Great deal.

  7. dont listen to comments regarding trust fund bs, others are just jealous there life sucks and cant own a boat, ive got one and yes its not cheap but we make it work catching 110lb bule fin, yellowtail and now mahi's are around now, keep doing what you love dont listen to those democrats

  8. One of the best boating cost breakdowns that I've seen, period. You're a smart young man Gus, for lots of reasons, one of them is keeping track of your expenses. Your Mom & Dad raised you right, so kudos to them, and you are on your way to a fantastic life. Thanks for taking the time to share your journey with us all, especially us old-timers who are in our sixties and still working to make our bucket list dreams happen, we appreciate it, cheers!

  9. yes it can be done, my friend circumnavigated on his 40'cutter and used about 45 US gallons for the whole trip. motor sailing i watched your vids on that 70'boat you brought. you mentioned the cost of a pump, I knew instantly your pockets were mot deep. beers on me if we meet/ happy sailing, Waza Australia, thanks a greatly needed video!

  10. liked the part about exact numbers
so many youtubers talk and talk but no numbers (that way we can plan our own escapes)
