  1. I dont blame Mike Lynch for ( i assume) thinking he and his daughter was safe in the cabin below in this huge superyacht as opposed to out on deck in the dark in a maelstrom type event where you could be washed away in the dark. I would have felt the same and in my wildest dreams would not think it could sink from a knockdown at anchor with bare pole/mast. Moral of the story, big or small boat, sailing is potentially lethal, like any other adventure sport and sitting at anchor is also potentially very dangerous where all aboard may drop their guard a bit thinking they are safe.

  2. Wow, this is such a deep topic! It's crazy how missing data can change the whole story, like a plot twist in a movie 🎬. It really makes you think about how important proper info is, especially in tough situations. Keep it up, your insights are top-notch! 🙌

  3. This Constantino really aught to keep his "assumptions" and "jumping to conclusions" to himself. Throughout all of this he has been proven again and again to be utterly incompetent and trying to hang anyone out to dry that he possibly can. Levelling false accusations at anyone and everyone. I truly hope that the crew get together and sue him for slander. Because of him they may never find jobs again. Nevermind the trauma that they have endured throughout all of this. I can't even begin to understand their mental and emotional state after this awful ordeal. Constantino is making matters worse and showing thoroughly that he does not deserve his position and (I hope) that his services will be terminated by the Italian government.

  4. I can’t help but wonder why none of the 4 deceased tried to swim to safety. Maybe they didn’t know what was happening but surely they would have experienced an increase in pressure as Bayesian sank. Presumably the eardrums would have felt the depth change just like in a scuba descent. We may never know for certain but Hannah Lynch may have taken a few deep breaths and tried to swim out.

  5. Sorry, as a regular watcher from Leicestershire UK, I have to correct you😆🤣 "Loughborough" is pronounced "Love-burr-oh", you made me chuckle after reporting on such horrendous news. Thoughts and prayers for the loved ones of those lost by the sinking of the Bayesian.

  6. Be grateful for us noobs if you could spell out the compass bearing of the Baysiean as it dragged anchor, or even better when it was and was not pointing into wind, and where the wind was coming from.
I know you have pieced this together over various videos, but I like I suspect very many others have not managed to put the pieces together yet.
… And how this has a bearing on the side the boat is lying on on the bottom.
    Great informative videos,
    Ty

  7. it takes a few hours to die without air in that case, in my opinion there is also the lack of timely communication here.
if they find that it took time for them to die, that's another problem.
they have already spoken previously of possible omission

that it was not communicated in time that there were people on the boat

  8. Given that the storm did not hit Bayesian suddenly but had been worsening for some hours before she sank it would appear obvious to me that she was not secured for sea. For sufficient water to enter the hull to cause her to sink so quickly meant that some large openings had not been secured and that failure is the direct responsibility of the Captain.

It has been reported that the A/C system draws fresh air through openings in the hull just below the main deck level and water may have entered through these on the submerged side of the vessel when she heeled. If this happened then I doubt that sufficient water could enter, having to go through heat exchange units and into a ducted distribution system to each cabin/ space. I presume that the system could be stopped simply and intake vents closed remotely quickly. Yes it would piss off the passengers to lose their cool air but would save their lives.

From the video I presume that Bayesian was dragging her anchor. From my experience on ships, the usual procedure would be to start main propulsion and drive toward the anchor, recover it and put to sea. ( I presume that anchor retrieval could be achieved remotely)

The keel, a critical component in the ship's stability, was not deployed because it made a noise when the Bayesian rolled at anchor. It could have been lowered when the sea came up – she was in fifty metres of water.

It is difficult to see how the Captain (and crew) cannot be held culpable for this very sad episode.

  9. Congratulations on your 300,000 supporters! I am not knowledgeable about sailing/yachting issues, but always find you commentaries interesting and informative. Thank you. Anne in Canada.

  10. There are a couple of things that might not be part of your bailiwick but they are the elephant in the room for me. I have lived on my boat so I know that when rich/important people sail they take massive security. These were wealthy important people who all needed protection. So were there patrol boats circulating the perimeter? Secondly, these folks were celebrating their long bitter battle of winning a multi billion dollar court case against a corporate Goliath . Flaunting such success seems to me like total lunacy, not mention hubris. These stories are at least as important as who did or didn't batten the hatches….

  11. I looked at the AIS data before it was removed from the AIS website. You are reporting on data that is different than what actually occurred. I hope you are not part of a coverup regarding this tragedy! And yes…I have a screen shot of this vessels last movements.

  12. false movement is still a theory don 't assume that this is how it happened,. False detections are not so common as you say, i know for direct eperience, otherwise it would be yet another strange coincidence

  13. Has anyone mentioned that if the boat healed over that far the Genset sea suction would out be out of the water and the Genset would automatically shutdown if not over heat and shut down within a few mins.
Most likely the ER was flooded but this also would have caused the boat to be dead ship.(no power)

  14. Balanced and informative reporting much appreciated, the Bayesian particularly sensitive subject. Curious about her anchored status following event and a reported missing tender. So much to glean from this, put blame aside from the survivors of a tragedy we can't comprehend. Constantino should retract his unprofessional and clumsy comments, he clearly has never experienced an event on this scale.

  15. @ around 4:15 you say that the entrance was on the PS and the yacht lays on the SB side at the sea floor.
I miss the comment to the video footage, where you see that the yacht, in a fast way, strongly heels over – to my observation to the port side – then the mast raises quickly again and you see the lights go out on the yacht. For me this means water ingress into the engine room / auxiliary engine room causing a black-out. One reason more to assume that the initial strong heeling to port side was the start of the end. This is so obvious, did I miss something in your reports? To what side, port or starboard side, she lays on the sea bed is only a result of a combination of many more inertias caused by pull of the anchor, rolling motion, sway and yaw, direction of current and wind etc…

  16. I am not convinced that Marine Traffic is wrong.
The sequence is normally like this:
The bow will blow off to Starboard or Port when at anchor in a strong breeze and as the chain on the sea bed gets pulled tight the bow will come back head into wind. As the wind speed increases more pressure is placed on the chain and anchor. If as i suppect the sea bed shelves out from the Coast the anchor only needs to drag a little before it is out of the seabed and useless. Her bow will now blow off and she will beam onto the wind…but her stern will come round into the wind off she goes at speed until the stern goes through the wind and she is again beam on…at this point if as suggested the wind increases further she will have fallen over and pinned down by the wind and weight of the water ingress…

  17. You do know non patrons made your channel also. Keeping your 300 k video exclusive is a slap in the face of every one of your subbers that don't pay you. I hope you change your mind and let all see you celebrate all of us that made you.

  18. Great work! And further evidence based on data that those who should know better ought not to jump to conclusions. Thank you for your professionalism. Here’s to the next 300k … 🎉
