8. Not sure this venue was wisely chosen when boats that are so specialized for foiling can't race at all a third of the time. Maybe they should allow paddling when the foils don't work. :p

12. This is why I hate these boats. The IACC boats were far more engaging to watch and are why I became a fan of America's cup sailing in the first place. While not as fast as these boats, they could be raced in more wind conditions and skipper experience in finding the wind was such an important aspect.

33. These boats are still too heavy if they have to achieve over 20 knots to foil

34. Foilers are very compromised in any place, all over the world, they need fresh winds and short waves, and that is not assured in any venue. Also, conditions are the same for both racers. Sail GP and youth ACs are more fun to watch than these, because except for the finals, 6 or 8 sailboats race together, they're more manoeuvrable, and require less time (and windforce) to take off foiling. Conditions day 2 of this LV final were glorious, and this last race was a lot fun, and it's sad that brits could not score. I am not brit nor italian, but italian complaints are infinite, not nice to read.

43. Hilarious watching these hi-tech water rockets with their F1 styled crews bob around in the pond. This type of racing should be in a different category from traditional "sailing". I do enjoy the crazy speeds they can achieve, even in relatively low winds, and the Cup Final in SF Bay a few year back was absolutely thrilling. But, it's now an entirely different sport, taken over by huge corporations with ungodly budgets to throw at these boats/rockets and teams. Anyone who watched the 1987 Cup in Freemantle should be able to appreciate great traditional sailboat racing. You know, with like, spinnakers! Let's do both.
