Eșec de barcă: iahtul se prăbușește în timp ce acosta în Osor, Croația

Acest lucru se întâmplă atunci când ficatul nu poate crește la cerere 🙂

  1. Damn English! The verb you were looking for in your title is "touches".

"Crashing" describes something pretty different from what can be seen in this video. But of course it works better as clickbait…

  2. Mistake of the guy at the bow. Has to yell the distance facing the skipper like 5,4,3,2 meter and then back, back. Loud! Not just watch how the anchors hit each other.

  3. Mooring 101: If you check the water and the boat flags you can clearly see that the boat is not facing the breeze, its actually going with the breeze, much difficult to control or stop a boat in those conditions. Now, Mooring 102: approach at the minimum speed that allows you to perform the manouver.

  4. I am a US Sailing instructor. I teach on vessels like this. Due to lack of experience he made a very common error. He came in way to fast. He didn’t have heavy cross winds or currents that sometimes cause a need to come in faster than normal. And even then you need to reverse quickly to take your speed off ( boats don’t have brakes). and have spring lines ready. The very positive thing was that they were similar boats and hit anchor to anchor. Lucky.!

  5. Come in slow, look like a pro. Come in fast, look like an ass.

It also appears as if he wasn’t paying attention to the direction of the wind. Which only exacerbated the situation.

Docking can be very stressful. Even in calm conditions I get a little nervous. And I only have a 26ft sailboat with a slip at the very end of the dock!

  6. Its difficult to see where the mooring points are, but I would rig a mid ship spring, get it on towards the stern and then gently drive forward with the helm away from the dock. The line will then pull me on no matter what the wind is doing. It was always going to be problematic with a standard bow/stern mooring. If I was happy with bow/stern lines, I'd have gone in stern first in revers and then just helm over to get the bow in. No need to drive toward the other boat at all. Again a mid-ship will just pull me in with the engine.

  7. Ormeggio schifoso doveva accostare in banchina 45 gradi motore minimo o abbrivio poi barra contrastata colpo motore retrò. Pessimo skipper togliere patente subito pericolo equipaggio.

  8. This looks like the typical inexperienced crew trying to perform what is not all that easy, but far worse when the helmsman is nervous. Not sure if they did a previous scout of the area but they came in at a very high angle when they could have potentially had more room on the left side (but perhaps depth was a valid concern). Too much speed! and wrong angle, but the anchorman wasn't calling off distances (shows a complete lack of training). Since the helmsman didn't instruct him on how to do this, can only assume (also based on what we witness) that even the helmsman is untrained.

Biggest problem with mooring is that people don't like to practice it, and rightfully so, it can go bad quickly and even a small ding can ruin your whole holiday and no one wants to deal with an insurance claim. What I don't understand is why there aren't more dedicated courses specifically focusing on mooring?
