I just do what I'm told and live in constant fear, but he mixes good rum & coke drinks for me. I don't know why he puts me up at foredeck I just end up grenading that area.

9. I do not sail. However I have family that does. The art of sailing has become more interesting to me over the past year. This video was super informative and explained very well. Not in a know it all type of way. But instructional without the air of superiority you find in other videos. Anyhow thank you for the lesson. Very cool

12. To the beginners watching this, also remember to loosen your main sail sheet, your boom vang and gooseneck before you drop your main sail. Some boats that beginners learn on, the boom will drop down when you drop your main sail, depending on how the topping lift is rigged.

39. How does your boom stay up, while you're raising the main, without the topping lift attached, or is the line so thin I can't see it in the video? I have a pigtail attached to the backstay that acts as a topping lift and it's a struggle raising the main when it's off.
