1. Curious when at open seas do you have to keep the boat moving or can you stop. I know this question sounds silly to you guys but I'm not or ever been on a boat out to sea..lol I'm a retired truck driver so i know when we are tired we pull into a rest area or truck stop and rest. Always wondered how that works on a boat out to sea

  2. This kid has a great channel and makes very entertaining videos, but clearly got his music inspiration from Casey Neistat’s old channel. Not complaining, I’d probably do it too, it’s fun music. Look forward to the next video.

  3. Anyone know how they get the front lines out of the water? Do they get attached to a buoy when nobody is using them?

  4. Awesome! You get this a lot Im sure but how big and what is the make of the yacht? Ive noticed too that you fly different flags on the same boat? Or am I imagining things?
    Love your videos!

  5. Hi mate, loving the videos!
Where do they keep those bow lines when not in use? Do they sink and kept underwater or if they are removable, how do hey get them onto the concrete blocks under water?

  6. Your audio was not very clear on the term for the opening through which you pass the lines – would you mind stating the name for that again? Also – when temporarily securing the Ground Lines – are you using essentially, a compounded clove hitch knot? Very interesting and informative, no matter what – thanks, Geoff Rohde

  7. We use all the same knots in rigging in theatres. So cool that generations of sailing translated into a YouTube video. Super cool seeing bowlines, stoppers, and the kleet tie up is something I use daily at my own work, just pretty stationary and not over water

  8. Interested on how one is trained. Do you get trained long before your ever on a boat and out to sea or do you get trained while hired to perform other duties on the boat ? Seems like a good bit of danger involved during high winds. Great video as always !!

  9. Where does the ground line come from? Like I know it is hooked to a giant weight on one end, but how does the guy in the dinghy get it? I would imagine if there was a buoy on one end, it would get in the way of vessels moving around.

  10. Watch out when you're dipping that eye. When you dipped that eye (8:08) and threw it over the bollard the eye overlapped the first eye. The dipped eye has to be on top of the first eye or you're locking the first eye in place, which defeats the purpose of dipping the eye. Yeah I'm a year late, but I just found your channel and I'm enjoying seeing another aspect of sailing. From one salty sailor (20+ years on oil tankers) to another, keep up the great work.

  11. Thanks for your awesome videos!! I haven’t started my training yet but what are all the different kinds of knots you would suggest learning and becoming a pro at? 🙂
