  1. Hi, if and when I buy a yacht…would you suggest crew members if I employ you.. Assuming you not working…

  2. Question: What happen to the crew if the new owner lives in another continent or country. Like for example in asia????

  3. when the crew starts whining about "visibility", you've got to show them who's boss. if you don't, the next thing you know, the engineer is asking for a window to the engine room.

  4. While I've been retired a few years from the MN i would have thought that a new owner who wanted to fire all the crew would need to have at least a skeleton crew ready to relieve them, just to comply with ISM, port security regs etc? I have only once been part of a crew which took over from a full crew who was leaving and even with a few passing conversations and helpful notes it was a steep learning curve as boats are complicated pieces of machinery and few if any are the same. Interesting videos which I've just discovered keep them coming !

  5. I'm looking at some yachts and I would potentially need a crew of up to 16 people. Where do I even start to look to find the best crew not just leftover crew?

  6. Great show, but l don’t think l could watch being that l live in the real world, sadly. 😉 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧

  7. I hardly think being "fired" is the same thing as being "let go" to be replaced by crew members known by the buyer

  8. What kind of contracts do the crew have? As in, does an owner have to stick with employment law of the country of the home port, the country of where the crew are from or where the owner is based? Of course if the owner is not a nice person, and can afford a multi million £/$/€ toy, you have no chance of fighting it in court in the first place

  9. I was never given any information about Boats Yachts & I personally was never was employed by such corruption!
    This is major FRAUD!
I believe BILL MILLER USED MY MAIL & MY INSURANCE POLICY & THIS IS MAJOR FRAUD & THEFT!
    MOBSTERS👹

  10. Is there a super yacht that requires little or no crew? With the advancements in engine technology and computer tech in general I find it hard to believe they can't build a ship (especially for the money) that requires a substantial amount of people on board 24/7!

  11. The biggest covered-up news is the fate of superyacht EQUANIMITY, owned by a con-man Mr Jho Low who suddenly shot to stardom, and then published as the con man who conned billions from many governments in the 1MDB scandal.

Now, he is a wanted man.
And the Malaysian govt had seized the Equanimity.

  12. From experience, I do know that it is usually the captain, first officer, possibly the chief engineer who will be the ones to go. Crew are neccessary to do the basics at least at first, simply because they will know the vessel. Superyacht owners normally employ their own Captain, first officer and engineer. Whether the crew are retained, is all dependant on their aptitude, experience and how they suit the Captain's operational strategy. It is the Senior officers in the owner's employ who will have vetted the vessel before he /she steps aboard and eventually makes the puchase. No crew, ever, get a permanent status on board any private vessel, what they do have is a rolling contract which can be extended or terminated at will.

  13. I don't mean to sound dense, but if you had a boat and a crew that went so well you wanted to upgrade, wouldn't you take that crew to the new boat and just add to that already well running crew?

  14. Very interesting channel about something I know nothing about. But I think I would have a hard time working in this industry…
