#WeAreSirius . #SiriusYachts #SiriusWerft #Sirius #DeckSaloonYacht #Deckssalonyacht #DecksHouseYacht #DeckSaloon #DecksSalon #PilotHouseYacht #MotorSailor #MotorSegler #GoAnywhereCruiser #BlueWaterCruiser #Blauwassersegeln #Blauwasser #Worldcruise #Circumnavigation #Weltumseglung #Weltumrundung #ARCWorld #ARC #AtlanticRallyForCruisers #OceanCrossing #Cruising #CruisingWorld #Yacht #Yachting #YachtingWorld #YachtLover #DreamYacht #TraumYacht #Sailing #SailingYacht #Sailingboat #Segeln #SailingLife #SailingLifeStyle #SailingAdventure #Familysailing #Familiensegeln #SegelnMitKindern #Kindersegeln #Segelyacht #Segelbat #Sailingadventure #SailingHorizon #SailingWorld #SailingVessel #Sailingworld #SailingInstagram #Instasailing #Sailingship #SailAway #SegelnMachtGlücklich #SailingPassion #Sirius35DS #Sirius40DS #Sirius310DS #Sirius32DS #Sirius38DS #Sirius36DS #Sirius31DS #TwinKeel #Bilgekeel #SwingKeel #SwingingKeel #Anchords #AnchorD #SwingingKeel #AnchorDs

  1. This sort of video, sets the standard of boat presentation ! a proud CEO sails with, and have a good talk with an experienced sailor ! Most other boat companies does not even get close to this ! Very well done, and the 35 DS is truly a great ship !

  2. Bellissima barca, avere il pozzetto alla stessa altezza della dinette è stupendo. Ma…il punto di scotta della randa. Resisterebbe ad una forte strambata ? (Mainsail sheet point 😬. Does the violent jibe hold?)

  3. Oh please keel the mast and headsails of this beautiful design. Mast and headsails are keeled at the mast and the stem. The stem should have the greatest lateral area at half the distance between the mast and forestay

  4. Hello Torsten, what a nice boat! Can you produce this boat with an aluminum hull for trips to the Arctic seas?

  5. Beautiful boat. One unrelated question: Why would you want a water maker only in the Pacific and not in the Atlantic? As a non-sailor (I just paddle outrigger canoes) I'd think that a water maker would be the single most important thing on an ocean crossing: You can go a long time without food but not long at all without water. Maybe you never get becalmed in the Atlantic???

  6. self tacking jib + furling code zero for the win. jib is only there for close haul, code for close reach to board reach plus light wind conditions. with this set up there really isn't a need for a big heavy genoa.

self tack jib is really really good as long as you only use them for close haul. soon as pointing fall off they arent as useful due to side and cut. but they are super good. it's just a paradigm shift in terms of how fore sails are used. 100% recommend over traditional set up.

  7. With enough solar panels (maybe sprayhood?) and battery for an electric main motor and stove and a ventilation (maybe air conditioning) this is perfect.

  8. Incerdible interiors in this design, I have been fascinated with catamarans lately but after seeing this boat I am thinking this monohull would be a great alternative. What is the average price for the 35 and 40?

  9. I’ve had boats all my life and have pretty much decided that the DS35 will be my next boat and fist sailing cruiser. I appreciate the quality of workmanship and personal interest of Torsten the owner in making a great boat.

  10. let me exlpain the 35DS clearly; if nobody said that already… They took a 45' sailboat and fit her in a 35's body, and selling her for the price of 50' LOL

  11. i'd LOVE to know: how close to the wind can it sail? How fast is it compared to a more traditional hull sailboat of same size? I find that this topic is avoided with this company. It's important.

  12. again at 70 loved sailing all my life i would live on her here and not pay 3000 rent hug 🙂 in Vancouver BC 🙂 nice sailing here 🙂

  13. Hi Marie. Thanks for your very useful I sights into the 35 DS. I'm trying to work out what to order when the Cash arrives to enable ordering a boat. I'm disabled, so that changes some perspectives and essentials – such as enough sleeping areas for friends and Crew, which is leaning me towards a 40 DS. I'll e living aboard so the 40 DS allows some things. Thanks to you , Wind Vane steering is now on the list, and Sail Construction can fit in with one Furling large Genoa. Tri Radial with reinforced tacking points imho is the way to go, with the ultimate being Hydranet Cloth for Maximum Durability, But, a Tri Radial reinforced Dacron Sail should be capable of an excellent Service life while retaining good shape (negating Torsten's valid dislike of Wrecking standard Cross cut Dacron sails by furling them ? ). Yes, Tri Radial is more expensive than Cross Cut, but not that much extra tbh, forvwhat you getbin return. Plus, Tri Radial loose foot Battenless Main Sails, should not have the life shortening in mast furling problems, with reliability improved again if the Sail has a Sail lubrication Coating, plus a UV protection panel that comes into effect when fully furled to protect from UV via the Furling Slot in the Mast. I would have another Furler for a Furling Gennaker/ Cruising Chute as well. House Bank Battery Storage however, Could be an issue if the Stats listed are correct and the Maximum – 2 x 100 AHr batteries for the 35DS, and 3 x 100 AIR forvthe 40DS. Even with Solar Panels on a Rear Cockpit Arch , and as many as possible on the Deck Saloon Roof, there doesn't appear to be enough pot to pour the "Beer" into ? Especially if Lithium batteries are avoided (I do not like the difficulty with recycling, plus Lithim does not appear to like Rapid Charging, they can have an accelerated early Death, probably from other factors as well) so I'd like Carbon AGM, 2 x 220 AIR for a 35 DS, and 3 x 220 for a 40DS. Easy recycling of over 99%, plus anywhere in the World, AGM replacementtp Batteries should slot in with an easy charging profile change. Had a thought too about additional Solar Panels. I like Full length Bimini Sun Protection for the Cockpit, or as much as possible anyway, with a gap at the front to the deck Saloon entrance to get to the sides and under Sun Protection – I've seen too many people hospitalised with severe Sunburn and heat stroke not to take good shading seriously. This does mean having a small arch at the rear of the Deck Saloon Roof, to carry the Boom Sheets just forward of the Co kit. However, that Cockpit Bimini can now Have another purpose, Flexible Solar Panels can now be fitted to Bimini Fabrics ! They aren't Cheap, but as long as Panels are Mono Crystalline, they should have a very long Service life, if the Surface Epoxy is very high quality (Junk ones the resin goes white within a few years – also check the expected lifespan of Poly Crystalline, unless dramatically improved in the last few years, my friend who has been testing Solar Panels for decades, had not found one that lasted longer than 7 years, most were dead within 6 years. Not good. Still working on other things, such as can .I use a portable single zone induction Hob in the Galkey, which could save a huge amount of Gas – get food to the boil fast, then o to the gas hob to simmer, and mixing in a pressure cooker, for e ample. Do I need a generator to run it, which could also heat water for showers, plus how the heck do I get a Water Maker running for showers, and reduce water tank size to have larger fuel Tanks. Compromises, compromises, compromises. Yep Boats, got to love them. Sorry a bit long, but am getting excited at the prospect of being on a Sailboat again. Thought I was finished with the loss if my last one, and to get back afloat again, was looking at Twin Diesel motor yachts, but the Sirius DS boats have much better handhold and wedge ourselves in securely at the Galley etc, so much better for reasonably mobile disabled like myself. Thanks again Marie. Hope you get yours soon, and if we bump into each other at a mooring, pop over for a Meal and a drink. Best Wishes. Bob. 👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🙂

  14. Please be careful by watching this Video. It will give you the Idea to want to own one boat of this brand. Fact is, there are no boats available at the market. You can't neither buy a used one nor a brand new. The number of orders for new boats is so high, that the company will not be able to fulfill your order with in years. The big break is, that the owner of the company don't want to move out of his tiny pity backyard factory. And he won't hire more people to do the job. To me it seems, this company is out of market.

  15. Am I the only person intrigued by the single 8 mm shackle that holds that entire main block? Won't it be ripped from the console in heavy winds?

  16. What is the basic cost of this thing? Can we get an electric motor in that we can power with more solar panels? Dont like diesels and noise.

  17. This is nicely done ! I got to see the boat, which i think is rather impressive. A guy more interested in the user / owner rather than pushing a product, good choice as I think the boat actually sells it self. This kind of demands I do more research 😉
