Practice makes perfect. I helmed 2 hours perfect goosewing/ wing on wing no pole sailing Waterford to Cork (south coast of Ireland). Not always necessary for the pole but I suppose doing 3 weeks of it would be extreme.

The topping lift/down haul must go through the end of the pole not the middle. As rigged it would last only a few minutes when rolling up the sail. Oohps!

I have now completed 69 orbits of our Sun, but broader horizons are beckoning! My next boat will have a keel and a sail! Keep these videos coming please 🙂.
